Been through this very same “it’s your heart no wait it’s your kidneys no wait it’s your liver” blood labs whack-a-mole. Hope ya’ll get some resolution. Helps to have a doctor who actually understands the kind of training and living you’re doing.

saw Doc for a few issues and the first question he asks me was are you taking steroids !! I took that to mean I must look jacked. LOL

LOL. I told him no, but he obviously didn’t believe me because the next thing he says is, when we do the bloods we will test your test levels too…

I was hoping he was suggesting some treatment but results came back with good levels. Damn this efficient old body.

Same! Minus the test. Then he asked my wife for the truth. Nope, just terrible bloodwork.

My endocrinologist asked me this too.

“Are you taking anything else?” With a lean in of the head.

“Yes, creatine” I said. He gave me a look like he didn’t believe me. But he also didn’t check my test levels so he must have believed me.

Dude, if there’s something I can do to help you just holler. We can look at your diet and see if, at the very least, we can stop the downward trend. Just letting ya know I’m here if ya need me!

Obviously not a doctor but I have seriously compromised kidneys. My nephrologist said that high protein and strength training is perfectly fine. The only caveat is to avoid exogenous sources of creatine.

My progress as of this morning.
And ive signed up for a 10k spartan race (obstacle course) 8 weeks away, so here comes a radical but focused shift in training.

I LOVE these lol. Ran a bunch of obstacle course faces in high school and college, always a good time. Doing it with friends?

Yeah, my best friend since 2nd grade recently got back in to training. He invited me. Which is great, as we haven’t spent much time together in a long while. He was always much more athletic than me, so a major goal here is not to be the weakest link on the team!

That’s very kind of you. Just got some more bloods done on Friday (6 week after last) will go and see Dr and get results on Wednesday. I have cut out the red meat and substituted with chicken and tuna. Also test was taken in the afternoon so not fasted. Once I get an idea how good is effecting it. I may well need some food help.
