I would go back and re-watch it but I don’t care that much. I thought Rashad’s insults were lame and Tiki’s challenging him to fight outside of an organized match was lame. To bad the coaches won’t be fighting. Each week they build up the conflict and tension between them making me want to see them fight. Of course that’s the goal but we’re getting wound up only to be left with fight watching blue balls.
Interview with Mike Wessell…talks about wanting to confront Rampage after Demico’s fight and how Kimbo’s family was allowed to be present during his fight with Roy. Good read.

I thought the old asshole Rashad showed through. Why was he picking on Rampage’s assistant coach for apparently no reason?
Did anyone see who it looked like supposedly might get hurt and provide an opening for Kimbo? I hope it wasn’t Junk, I want to see him fight, perhaps against Schoonover. Every week I’m expecting it to be the week something awesome happens and then afterward I think, “oh well, guess I’ll wait for next week.”
It appears Kimbo will fight again. That’s certainly what the all the advertisments would lead us to believe. I was also reading one of the fighter blogs or maybe an interview. They were talking about Kimbo being friendly with everbody, even the guys he fights. “Guys” being plural. It sure would be funny if he loses again. 0-2 with this cast would not be good for one’s record.[/quote]
I do think its a little classless of Kimbo to get all perky and excited when one of his teammates looks like they might be hurt. He’s done it a few times now. At least check to see if your teammate is OK before doing the “I get to fight again” dance.
yeah i was thinking the same thing but then again he’s learning from his coaches example. no class!

I get the feeling that the football players on TUF really have no idea what they’re doing. It seems like they washed out of the NFL and are just looking for other career prospects rather than selling insurance. Remember when that one guy said, “This is a lot harder on your body than football” or something like that? He seemed really surprised when he said it. I was thinking, “You didn’t know that going in?”
Kimbo is a fighter. I expected him to have really worked on his ground game since eliteXC went bankrupt QUITE AWHILE AGO. It didn’t look like he’d done anything of the sort. It’s a shame, because he’s a likable, humble character and has the power to probably decapitate someone.
That’s so fucked up that Wessell couldn’t talk to his cancer ridden wife but Kimbo’s posse could watch him fight. It isn’t surprising since that is the kind of bullshit Dana pulls all the time but it’s still fucked up.
I’m glad Darrill actually stood up to Rampage on the show. Rampage calling him titties was pretty funny the first few times, but it got annoying pretty fast. When it was time for him and Zak to fight, all he kept telling Zak was don’t get beat by a guy with titties.
I hope Marcus and Matt fight each other, that would be a great fight.
And I agree with previous posters, everytime someone from Team Rampage gets hurt, Kimbo is excited, thinking he’s going to get a chance to fight again. It’s like he’s almost hoping someone gets hurt so he can fight again. But I don’t find that fair to the other guys on Team Rampage if this does happen that Kimbo gets first shot to replace someone.

The problem I have is that they use those clips to hype up the next week, thinking that he is going to fight again.
If anyone on Team Rampage should get to fight again, it should be Demico, IMO. He was putting on a damn good fight and was actually winning until he got submitted. If Demico was on Team Rashad, he probably would have had a better chance to fully display he skills. If he works on his submission defense, he could probably do fairly well for himself. Granted, it seems pretty much everyone on Team Rampage needs to work on their submission defense given all of the victories Team Rashad has picked up that way.
It’s kind of funny, though, how Matt, the drama queen on Team Rashad, is the one to flip his lid. I wonder if it’s him that’s in the fight next week that’s supposed to be so good.
Oh, and does anyone else get the feeling that Rashad was completely right when he said that Rampage was more concerned about pulling pranks on Team Rashad than on the fighter’s he’s supposed to be coaching? All he was telling Zak was that Schoonover has giant titties (and they’re really not all that big, I’m surprised Roy didn’t get called Titties) before the fight, he went out and got the drawing done of Team Rashad, was disappointed when they thought it was funny and they didn’t get upset by it, and so on.
I do agree with the people who say that Rashad is somewhat cocky, but he at least cares about his fighters (and seems to care more about Rampage’s fighters than Rampage does) and wants them to succeed while under his tutelage. If Rampage wanted to win so much, then he should have got his act together and actually coached. I bet you dollars to donuts that Team Rashad wins again next episode and that’s what makes Rampage go apeshit and rip apart the door.
I think my opinion of Rampage lowers every week. He acts like a 5th grader, calling fighters names, having pictures drawn to make fun of the other team.
Does he actually have any knowledge to transfer to his fighters or is he just going to be doing grade-school pranks the whole time?
He’s about the most useless coach I’ve seen; he makes Shamrock look like Knute Rockne.

Hey! Leave Rampage alone. It’s a TV show…so obviously they are using editing and special effects to make him look like a fucktard.
I know Jackson sucks as a coach but let’s just give him a break with that. He already said he ain’t a coach, and we all know he wasn’t put in there to coach. He’s there to have rivalry with Evans to build up their fight. That being said, his character on the show does get a little annoying sometimes. It just remind me of how we use to behave when we were kids.
You know, I’m starting to wonder if Dana White basically decided that TUF might as well portray him as The Ultimate Fucktard on his way out of the UFC. Sort of a kick in the pants on his way to Hollywood.

You know, that IS entirely plausible.
Come on titties is hilarious especially with the caricature. “Rashad is probably jealous he doesn’t have any titties to play with, I see him playing with his nipples all the time.” that was hilarious.
Rampage acts like a little kid. It was funny, now its obnoxious. I’m stoked on seeing Marcus fight next week.

It sounds like you don’t have a lot of experience dealing with ignorant thugs from the ghetto. Discretion is the better part of valour. Especially when you are wealthy like Dana, have something to lose and have to deal with ignorant thugs.
Kimbo busted out a gat just because some guy arm barred him in practice. That really puts a new perspective on Roy Nelson showing him some respect and not destroying him in the most brutal manner possible.

I still like Rampage but he is a lousy coach. If I was about to fight someone and I had to listen to him rant nonstop about titties I would have snapped. Rampage should have been helping his guy get mentally prepared for his fight, not ranting on about a mans titties to the point I think he has some issues he needs to admit to.

I was being sarcastic. I’m sure the editing of the show plays up a lot of Rampage’s antics…some things are just obvious. No amount of editing is going to keep us from seeing Rampage as an immature tool. But it’s ok…he’s a fighter…not a coach…lol.
Observations now that I’m caught up on episodes
-
Rampage has lost a lot of my respect. I’m sure a LOT of antics are played up, not only by the editing, but by himself (he didn’t act THIS bad in the previous system he was on), but it’s still ridiculous. I don’t want to fighter bash so I’m not going to say anything too negative (just against my principles) but, damn dude, just damn.

Team Rashad has a badass fucking coaching staff. MVA is the truth, same with GSP’s striking coach.
-
1/2 of these motherfuckers have titties

Perhaps it’s just editing, but you always see Rashad training or at least moving around in some form. You don’t really see that too much with rampage. At least they don’t accentuate it.

Kimbo raising his hands when a teammate gets hurt is bollocks. He lost a fan, completely. I know this is a competition and it’s about getting that #1 spot, but there is something to be said for loyalty. Hoping for someone’s injury so that you can play on Rampage’s foolish obsession with you just so you can fight again is LOW. You got have SOME kind of concern for your fellow man. No Bushido whatsoever.
