I think we should post our starting totals here, mine was about 100-110kg i think. That was the first time ive deadlifted in a long long time so its all exponential from here!

May have an interesting case study,over the next five weeks.
I was approached by a 17yr old female dancer,who says she needs to lose weight before the first week in October.
We have agreed a five week training programme,which will mean her working out at my place five times per week.
Now this is an untrained/coached member of the public,with no experience of weight lifting,but I allowed her in because she wants to work hard to achieve her goal.
I think it will be interesting to see,(if she stays the course)what her figures will be in the Squat,Bench and Deadlift.And yes guys I shall get her to do at least 10 Glute Ham Raises!
The first session today,concentrated on Box Squat form,which was quite good and she managed to do a reverse mini band squat with just the bar for 10 reps.

Beni - You must have the gift of the gab mate, i know a few female dancers and to pursuade them to lift weights, let alone Westside would be impossible! Shes gonna terrify other dancers, five weeks under your tutelage from scratch is gonna have a pretty profound effect, you’ll have to keep us updated.

I cant belive that dancer you talked about - how did she hear about you? Thats pretty hardcore i gotta say - im training an ‘exotic’ dancer at work and shes the nuts, really pushes herself - deadlifts, benches, squats - the works. A rare find im sure you’ll agree. 5 days a week is pretty intense, you going to do a variety of energy system type work too or monstrous sled dragging! defo keep us posted chap
Had a pretty good ME bench day today, last week i got 75kg for 1 hard rep in the bench, today i got 87.5kg for 1 semi hard rep in the bench, reckon i could of got 90, possibly a 92.5kg if i had a spotter, so therefore Westside training adds 15.5kg to your bench in 1 week!
Whilst westside did play its part i think the fact my bench increased that much is more down to the fact that i could bench about 100kg a little under a year ago so my strength levels are starting to return to their previous, i also think the technique Beni showed us on the bench had some part to play too, i definately feel stronger in that position.
Im starting to feel stronger in all exercises so i think that westside is accelerating the process of returning me to my previous levels of strength, not to mention its a breath of fresh air to the type of training i had been doing.

Trying to convert people to bands and it is sort of working, apart from the lad this morning that got pinned by an empty bar and a doubled up mini band, gufaw!!
Yeah excuses coming in thick and fast for the competition!
Ben, that 100 reps with the green band for pushdown works really well, took 6 sets this morning to do it, also did a load of french press by looping the greenie uner the incline bench reaching back and grabbing it and then proceeding to get the reps out, tris feeling sore tomorrow.
i’m gonna say 180kg for max deadlfit and gonna shoot for 200-220 raw in the xmas bash.
