That’s pretty much true. There are hot girls everywhere, but it noticeably decreases per capita as you head further north. However, I must point out that in Boston, there are a lot of hot Portugese, Irish and Italian honeys. Not sure why there are fewer attractive girls up north though.

Sorry guys…it’s not because I’m biased but I think this statment is pretty valid. I honestly do think the girls in the south get outside more because it’s warm year round. What BFG said regarding less clothing = girls taking better care of themselves is true and can be applied not on to SouthernCal. You see a lot more tans, blondes and short shorts with nice legs. Obviously there will be beautiful girls spotted everywhere around the world… but as far as the US, the south has more overall. I’ve always thought the prettiest girls could be found in SouthCal, some parts of Texas, GA and some parts of Fl. Now don’t get be wrong, I promise I’m not being biased, I’m telling you what I’ve personally seen by comparing the southern places I’ve been to, to the northern places I’ve visited. This is by far not the end all be all…this is just my opinion.
Then again, the highest rates of obesity in the US are found in the South.

That’s a strange dichotomy, isn’t it?

1 to 10 scale…

Of the Tech’s I found NJIT to be a 5. MIT a 3. and GT a 6.

I saw Purdue and I thought it was alright, maybe a 5.

The Only real 10 I can give goes to West Point Military Academy, in Upstate NY. Goddamn its nice up there -even in the Winter its fricken georgous.

SHU is an 8. Rutgers: Newark a 1. Rutgers: New Brunswick, maybe a 3 and thats generous.

Universities of…

Georgia - 8
South Florida - 2
Connecticuit - 8
Hawaii - 10 (obviously)
North Carolina - 6
Georgetown - 9
Annapolis - 9
Colorado Springs - 5
Miami - 4

State Colleges…

Ohio - 7
Montclair - 6
Penn - 7 (8 if there werent signs that said “Please Report Gunshots 1-800…”)
Colorado - 6
Washington - 9
Arizona - 6

And thats about all I can personally promote.

The main component of obesity in the south is from the large African American population. (Usually women). I didn’t just make that up either… That’s been documented and I’ve learned all about it in classes such as sociology, human growth and development and fitness. The text books with these stats were all up to date.

In your eagerness to show how smart you are you only accomplish showing how young and dumb you are.

if you look just beyond all the scandal you’ll be in awe of those mountains, it’s a sweet sight.

Why? She’s not totally wrong. I believe the percentage of obese white people is higher in the South than the North also. But there is a greater number of African Americans down South and a greater percentage of them are overweight or obese. Greater both than weights and Northern African Americans. It’s not racist. It’s just factual.

(edit)

Well I went to UofA and currently go to ASU so just having me on campus gives them props

That was already accomplished with the utterly crass, insensitive, and thoroughly disgusting detailing of the intimate details of her boyfriend’s shortcomings as a lover.

This just displays ignorance and bigotry.
Cmon, now. Easy on SG. She was wrong to say the main component of obesity in the South should be attriubted to African Americans. It’s probably not true. It’s a big problem among whites too. But there are extremely high levels of obesity among African Americans in the south. There are a plethora of reasons. An anthropology professor of my, who happens to be African-American, is researching and writing a book on it. It’s not racist to or bigoted acknowlege this. It would be wrong and bigoted to make hasty conclusions and value judgments on southern African-Americans based on this.

I did feel pretty bad for the guy when that thread was posted. Especially since he posts here. But she loves him. He loves her. So, whatever.

jsbrook, you know I have a lot of respect for you and though your stats may have some truth to them sg’s post was still ignorant and her never ending quest to show her intelligence only accomplishes showing her ass.

But that was a stupid; irrelevant post. I’ve only been to UofA and ASU so I can’t comment too much on anything else. They both have nice campuses; with pros and cons and I’m undecided on which one I like more. A major factor though in choosing what is the best college campus is considering the area surrounding it. For example
UofA=Tucson=A dump (Hey I own property down there so I’m speaking from experience)
ASU= Tempe, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Chandler = Great

Best Looking Schools:

Middlebury, far and away. You’d have to see it to understand. It’s so “perfect” it’s almost creepy.

Toss-up: Sewannee (university of the south) beautifull building and architecture, great out-doors program, but with fog so thick and dorms so terrible whats the point?

Ugliest Campuses:
Purdue
MIT (ew)
Rutgers
Amherst
USC (campus is ok, the town? not quite…)

Hottest Co-eds:
U T of Austin

UCLA
LSU
FSU
SMU

Ugliest Co-eds
Hampden Sydney
Wabash
John Hopkins
ODU
VTech (i’ve hardly seen hot girls here)

Worst College Towns:

Woah now guys, chill out… I was trying to find a way to make a statment about a delicate subject.

Being from the south, there are a lot of people who are very racial, I’m not one of them. Thus I’m use to having to REALLY watch how I word things around here.

I didn’t want to offend people by acting like I was pulling something out of my butt. Seriously I wasn’t expecting that. Come on, Sociology? Human Growth and Development? Those are “crap classes” but those happen to be the classes where I saw how obesity hit certain populations. I wasn’t trying to sound smart by any means, I merely wanted to show people I don’t pull statments out of thin air. Geeze…ligthen up
Elkhntr1 wrote:

Wow everyone but jsbrook has totally misconstrued the meaning of my post. I did not attribute the sole cause of obesity to african-american women, but was merely making a factual statement that because the south has a much higher percentage of african-american women than the north, coupled with the fact that this demographic is suffering horibly from obesity, heavily contributes to the south’s obesity problem.

Bigot, I don’t think so, merely factual with none of my personal opinion thrown into the mix.

For the record, I was not trying to “sound smart.” Does stating a simple fact read from a textbook mean I am attemtping to sound intelligent? I guess in your case it does, but when hopefully you can step out of your little politically correct microcosm and take a factual statement for what its worth instead of having a kneejerk reaction to my post regarding the obesity of a certain population. It seems to me that if one says african-american and even mentions a negative statistic quoted in a sociology textbook, you believe one is being racist. How sad and victimizing you are.

The larger issue that I didn’t feel like discussing on this particular thread was that there are also a much higher percentage of lower income black females than there are whites…thus they aren’t able to afford the healthier foods. I was tired and I didn’t feel like making this into a sociological discussion. THAT my dear is what people need to be worried about and NOT you slandering me because of your misinterpretation of my statement.

Sabrina: you ought to know better coming from me.

Hottest coeds? Easy, University of Texas. No contest.

Please,… UT isn’t even the best in the state. I have spent a great deal of time discussing this topic with grad students from all over the country (and I have visted most). Top 4 in no order

Texas A&M
FSU
U of Az.
and any school in southern cal without good admissions requirements.
A&M? I think you’re experiencing a little bias here.

Ugliest campus is University of Waterloo in Canada (it’s been voted before), but it has the hottest women (20% Asian population).

In the US, University of Texas Medical Branch has the fewest hot women. UCONN gets a thumbs up in this area -and I was only on campus for a day!
