I understand that Tank is going to fight Cabbage in November.
I have only seen Cabbage fight once. He is a stand up slugger like Tank. So, that should be an exciting fight to watch.
I heard through other sources that the UFC is negotiating with Royce Gracie for a special fight. One of Gracie’s demands is that he wants no time limits.
Again, this is speculation.

at the fights, they had the pride promoter there, and he said he was sending Sakuraba over to UFC to fight. It would be great to see those two go at it again.

I honestly think that MMA has passed all of the Gracies by.
What I mean by that is that while they were pioneers to the sport, others have learned what the Gracies know, plus they have gone beyond them with their stand up game.

Dude, totally agree. Look at Sakuraba vs Royce. Sakuraba killed him the stand up game. Royce looked like a little girl out there with his weak ass punches. The Gracies need to work on their stand up fighting more. But then again, look at what Nick Diaz did to that pastey white guy. Freakin arm bar. Jiujitsu isn’t dead by any means, it just needs to be included in an arsenal.
Now, I think we’re getting into the real MMA, where fighters are versed in many disciplines, but just excel at 1 of them. Look at Karo (sp?) from the last UFC. Dude was a badass judo guy, and it showed, but he could also strike. Look at the 2 Belarus guys. Matvaschenko (sp?) got destroyed because he just wanted to wrestle, whereas the other guy wanted to pound his face in.

Sorry I’m late on this, but I’ll just agree with everybody on how great Couture looked. This is twice now that I’ve wanted him to win but thought he wouldn’t. I’m glad he keeps proving me wrong.
The Ortiz-Vladdy match is what kept me thinking that Couture would lose, but after seeing Vladdy’s sloppy, slow shots on Friday, I think his skill may have been overrated.
The Gracie family can’t be all washed up Rickson Gracie has over 400 fights to his credit and 0 losses.
