Just going by what Dizzle said. I didn’t really follow religiously until TUF came out. I’ve never seen Penn fight, just GSP. So that’s why I picked him on the USA vs Canada thread. I will stand by my prediction though. GSP wins.

Okay, I’m not going to be wishy washy this time: GSP wins in a close decision…or Penn…no…no I’m sticking with GSP.
Franklin wins by KO in round 2 or 3.
I think Penn wins a very close decision over GSP. I wouldn’t be surprised at all, though, to see GSP win. This is one of the toughest fights in recent memory to predict.

Marquardt will dominate. The fight against Salaverry was not a good performance for Nate. If you’ve ever seen him in Pancrase, he’s just plain nasty. He’s just as good on the ground as Doerkson (if not better), and his striking is 10x better. He’ll be the next to challange Franklin for the belt. (Yes, Franklin will win.)
And though this has already been said, I agree that everyone loses because Chuck Norris will win by staredown, sleep with everyone’s wife/girlfriend, then roundhouse kick Dana White.

Penn wasn’t wearing the Spike t-shirt.
If you look at it again, it looks like it was GSP manager. He had to turn his shirt inside-out. When GSP is weighing in, he is in the background w/ his t-shirt tag sticking out below his neck.
I know the UFC is very strict now on sponsorships.

as for royce vs. bj who is better on the ground, who really knows i’ve seen royce choked unconsious before in a jiu-jitsu match by Wallid Ishmel, but again when your fighting another black belt someone will get caught
i think rickson and royler are much better than royce from a pure jiu-jitsu standpoint…and i doubt royce would even argue that at all.
it would be an interesting match old school Gracie JJ, vs. a newer faster style like BJ’s…would be pretty sweet to watch
