UFC 90 - Spoiler

Anyone prefer to see either 3 rounds in title fights or shorter rounds overall to increase the activity level?

I think it is fine as it is now.

I remember when K-1 when from 5 round fights to 3 round fights in the hope(I think) of getting more action. It seems guys came in heavier and less conditioned. Of course K-1 is for HWs and is kcikboxing so it is not a very good comparison. Just an observation.

There is always Sumo for straight action.

Not kidding - I like to watch it

No. I think things are fine the way they are.

No. If anything they need to change the way fights are judged to make them more exciting. Throw out 10 point must, and judge based on who tries to win the fight, not who tries to score points.

Yes. Think there’s any chance of this happening?

Nope.

If the 10 point must system is implemented correctly by competent judges this is exactly what it does. I really don’t see any better alternatives that would simple enough that people who barely know what they are watching could use it, which is the case in most states where the judges are appointed as an “honor” more than any sort of sufficient knowledge of the sport.
