With regard to fence grabbing, Why wouldn’t they use plexiglass or reinforced plexiglass? It would still bend and they could make it strong enough to hold the fighters up and you could still push off it and put guys up against it? Plus you can see through it. It might need to be cleaned off in between fights if it gets blood smeared, but that would be cool anyways. Just something I always thought about when I saw someone grab the fence.

I wonder why Big John didn’t stop the fight. That was unusual. I hear that his Fight purse was also being withheld so its not going unpunished. Thats good. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the last fight hes ever fighting in either. UFC really needs to weed out the bad apples.
The UFC should sign him for one more fight and let Wanderlei shitstomp him as a parting gift.

Any word on what kind of shape Gonzaga was in after the fight? That nose looked like it was going to require some serious surgery.
I saw some post-fight pics of him (and a lot of other fighters) partying in Vegas. He had a bandage on his nose but was smiling and looked like he was having a good time.

Better than just a slap on the wrist. I don’t think it really matters one way or the other, I think he’s pretty “over”.
