Two Years Worth of Hard Work

2 Years of hard work. Not bad for a 40 year old.

Awesome work man! Given that you weren’t very interested in training two as recently as two years ago, this is amazing.

Congrats on the change, but it looks like you need to add some mass. Your head looks a little too big for your body. Also giving yourself a 10 isn’t cool. How do you expect an honest grading when you’re the one throwing off the polls? Either way good job on the body change.

agreed.

however, you are a true gangster

You don’t have to post before you score someone on this forum.
That said, I can see how someone was so blown away by the transformation they felt the need to reward the guy with a 10. And it takes nothing away from the hard work he put in.

OP, I gave you an 8. YOu need some more mass and better lats but I;m sure you’ll get there with the kind of dedication you obviously have.

Looks fine to me. If he started 2 years ago, then it is understandable that he isnt a monster as 1) 2 years isnt a long enough time spent lifting seriously to put on a ton of mass and 2) hes 40 and therefore most likely it is more difficult for him to put on mass.

OP, you look great. Keep kicking ass.

first of all great work! that’s an amazing transformation for only 2 years AND not being in your 20’s to boot. you seem to have your regimen down. keep up the outstanding work.

oh and rbpowerhouse: how the hell can you tell the whether his lats need more work when he’s doing a most muscular pose? do u have xray vision?

Thanks everyone, yeah i do need more mass but it isnt easy at my age. lol My head does look big, all my pics turn out that way. I think i did pretty good for my age and also being 30% disabled. ( i have had 4 knee surgeries on my right knee )

I will keep chugging along till I get more size…which big is never big enough! lol

Nope, just decent vision in my left eye, apparently. Check out his profile/avatar pic if you have a minute.
OP: very nice work building the legs in spite of a damaged knee…do you use wraps while squatting?

ok i still don’t see how u can tell from that pose either…it’s not a lat pose. from my eye they seem to be in proportion to the rest of his body but hey…that’s just me

Good freakin’ job, man.
Like everybody else said, more mass and you should be good. Might want to work on the lats a bit, though - they look a little underdeveloped.

That’s quite a transformation, not many 40 year olds looks like that. Congrats on the good job. Show us a back shot as well, I’d like to see that.

So you started two years ago? Excellent progress. 40 isn’t THAT old but I’m only 28 so what do I know?

I have been training off and on ( mostly off ) since 89. I never took it seriously until i went to have therapy on my knee. The exercises i had to do really kicked my ass, so after a while i got hooked. My dietician, Chuck Rudolf, helped me get in great shape and now all i need to do is keep going. Need size in my legs and lats for sure. Here are a few back pics.

I think your back looks good. It’s in proportion to everything else. As far as suggesting more mass, that’s up to you. If you plan on competing, realize that there are different weight classes. You will just want to be the biggest you can be for your weight class. Legs look great, considering four surgeries. I didn’t know having surgery made you disabled.

After the surgeries i was unable to straighten my right leg fully. So now i walk with a limp. I am only 30% disabled. I look like a damn duck when i walk. lol

What exercises do you use for your legs?

For any age you look good, let alone being 40. You must take steroids! (haha jk).

Keep up the good work (training, eating & rest).

If I could suggest anything, maybe a wider body (lats) and bigger traps. But i gave you a 10 regardless.
