Great work Rick. But under 215 lbs? A stiff wind and you’ll fall over.

I think if you meant " If a wind blows do you get stiff and have to bend over?" the answer would be yes…20 years ago! Now that wind better be doing some crazy things to get me to comply! lol
Steve, thanks man. My goal is actually to actually get to and stay under 205. Thing is I feel a lot better being lighter. I mean it was cool being 240 and stronger but I couldn’t really or even want to do much with my children, now I tire them out rather easily. Plus all the trouble with my heart and to deal with Cardiologists time after time telling me to lose weight, well it is on my terms and I am just getting leaner and slightly less muscle mass ( I hope).
I read the blogs on this site and become sad for these are my people: http://heterotaxypolysplenia.blogspot.com/
It does not matter what I do to help improve health. For my time is numbered and I look around at other people blessed with being “normal” and I become very angry that they take their life for granted and treat their bodies like “Yesterdays Paper”. I try to become as fit as I can to prolong my life as long as possible to be with my children. For I really don’t know when the Bell will toll.

Shit, when did you decide to become a waif? At 205 you’ll probably look like Gwyneth Paltro.
(j/k, great work in here).
Hahahaha! ^^^^^^^ Thanks Jack

What form of this do you have? Missing your spleen, dextrocardia??? Is this why you have a pacemaker? Sorry if this is to personal of a question.
3 spleens.
2 bicuspid valves with the aortic being one of them.
Sic Sinus Node.
Bradycaria
Malrotation of the bowels.
Situs Inversus of all internal organs.
Atrial Fibrillation.
75% of lung capacity of an adult. ( 5 lobes is standard I have 4)
I had an extremely low heart rate Sub 20’s while at rest lowest being 18 with up to 8 second pauses. The Atrial Fibrillation would kick in after 95BPM going as high as 280’s to 110 in less than a second on the monitor. So a Pacemaker was installed to regulate me and to keep my heart in rhythm.

All that, and yet…you’re the toughest SOB I’ve ever met. Lean as hell and strong like bull!
I wish the doctors who tell you not to lift heavy (or at all) would sit for one hour and watch you lift…then watch you walk over and push the prowler several times maintaining speed with each pass - while we drop like flies around you.
I know you dislike when your Iron Family says this, but there is “man” and then there’s “Rick” several layers higher than the rest. Remember that when we say that, we know that you have to work harder than the next guy just to get to “normal” levels much less surpass anyone; so we say it to acknowledge your drive and all you’ve accomplished despite your genetics - and despite what the medical world says you should or shouldn’t be able to do.
How appropriate that I just today told you of that post I saw that said, “Genetics can be beat. Lift.”
smiles,
Jean

Can’t say it any better than that. Much admiration for overcoming severe adversity.

Pardon me, but your math is off on the shrugs. You ended at 635. I’m sure of it. Amazing work on those shrugs!!

I could not remember if there was 2 35’s per side or just one, so I erred on the side of caution and went with the lesser number.
Thanks for the crrection.

Days alternate between - weighted vest walks, sprints, rowing, prowler, long walks and cycling.
All done at different levels of intensity.
Very inspiring! I will be following along on this one.
