Tuf 11

I’m surprised no one has been talking about TUF 11.

Anyway…I thought the opener last night was one of the best episodes to date. All the fighters except that French guy came to fight. Some of the guys really impressed me. I don’t remember any of the names, but the kicks being thrown by the first guy (black dude with puffy hair) were pretty nice, none of the fights were dull at all I thought, and the cut opened up and the broken nose were pretty insane.

This looks like a pretty good season to come.

link to the aftermath if anyone is interested.

Yeah man, I was pretty impressed with everyone. Well, everyone except the French guy. Who knows, maybe he was sick or injured or something. Or maybe just French. I think it’s going to be a good season.

the only thing worth from TUF are the winners from the 1st and 2nd season

That’s absurd. There have been plenty of good fighters on the other seasons.

funny, florian and koscheck didn’t win in season 1. worth nothing?

go to ultimatefighter.com and check some of the names

So why even comment in this thread if that is how you feel?

I am not a tuf fan… watched the episode and save for the blatant camera mugging
you had good hard fights with people who want it.

I liked the first 5 seasons of TUF, but slowly lost interest there on.

It’s just I can always see how it’s going to go:

Two or so talented prospects rock up, stay away from the camera, train hard and generally keep their mouths shut.

The rest are brotard wankers who have plenty of experience talking the talk, but can’t walk the walk

Chuck them all in the house together, prospects stay away from limelight, cameras focus on wankers being wankers. Cue wrecking of house, bizarre behavior (usually worth a few lulz) and then someone has a hissy fit and a fight breaks out.

Cue DW rocking up to the house, laying a verbal smackdown and in some cases telling a few asshats to GTFO.

Remaining “fighters” fight it out, talented prospects that STFU and trained rather than living their MTV fantasy being on camera, move up and fight for a position in the UFC. 6 figure contract.

Not saying it’s a bad show, just that I’ve lost interest. I stopped watching around season 6, has there even been any notable names to come out of TUF since then?

This looks like a promising season. Most of the fights were good, and some were really impressive.

This was the best intro episode ever for a TUF season. PEOPLE THROWING KICKS!?!?! Wteff David Blaine. I’m calling the black guy with the long hair v. the dude with green hair in the finale.

yeah I actually didn’t see seasons 6-9, but I did pick it back up at season 10. Not the best season and it’s a bit to soon to really know if any of those guys will be good in the UFC. You’re right there is usually quite a bit of drama for my taste as well. That’s why I really like this season premier since it was entirely fighting. None of the bullshit and most of the fights were pretty good.

You left out the part where the coaches talk shit like all the other brotard wankers, culminating in one or both coaches tearing apart a cardboard door or other suspiciously flimsy piece of the training center.

I like how the french wanted to prove that french people were tougher than they got credit for, then procedes to quit before the second round. Irony, how I love thee

I’m thinking Afro Guy vs. 18-15 guy for the finale.

I’m thinking Afro gets beaten next round.

I could see one of the wrestlers taking him down, but if he has any kind of guard, he could be dangerous with those long-ass legs. I haven’t seen any striking so far that really impressed me as much as his either.

Afro had impressive kicks…McKinney(the green/black-haired guy) had more impressive striking. He was more technical…which is always impressive to me anyways.

i usually get bored with TUF, but this season looks pretty good.

green emo to win it all, he was the most impressive to me. He has lots of power and very good strikes.

as much as I dog TUF, some good fighters come out of it. As forthe newer one’s, Ross Pearson is legit and Roy is relevant. Also that guy who recently beat stevenson (stefanopolis) seems ridiculous, good striking + very active BJJ, non stop subs.
