I’m officially changing my post workout drink to chocolate milk. After listening to Mike Barwis and seeing what he did with West Virginia and Andy Bennett making Fresno State the strongest in school history, I think it’s worth trying.
There’s also many other schools doing the same, these are just 2 worth mentioning. Anyone else out there doing this? If so, what are you using (how much milk, how much chocolate)?
Thanks!
PS I’m not saying this is better than Surge, it’s just something I’m going to try.
Yeah, it’s a shame that the NCAA doesn’t allow schools to provide products like Surge to there athletes, so they have to resort to using chocolate milk.

The NCAA does not allow schools to provide supplements that contain a significant amount of protein because they consider them to be “muscle building.”
I’m not positive, but I believe they can only give products that contain less than 30% protein.

Does that mean they also provide really fat buns for their hamburgers to keep the % of protein legal there too. Oh wait, only for supplements. Wadda buncha bullshit
The NCAA has some ridiculous regulations. Just comes with dealing with the retarded system. People think supplements are the legal equivalent of steroids. I have honest to God had people ask me if my protein shake was the same as taking steroids.
Try it. From my experience if I down a protein shake right after my workout I hardly have any soreness the next day. If I don’t, then I feel more sore. I’ve tried chocolate milk, but it didn’t have the same effect.
Well, I know that Velda Farms chocolate milk is LOADED with protein. I drank that every day post workout for months. If I had the money, I’d do it again.

There are ways around this that they take advantage of. Example would be BCAA’s in the gatorade.
Just like our running back got a massive flat screen TV from the school “to watch game video on.”

Not to hijack the thread, but that is so awesome yet so ridiculous. A bunch of the football players at my school got new cell phones for dubious reasons. So…yeah, there will always be loopholes.
I’m trying to get my cousin, who just started weight lifting for football to drink Chocolate Milk after he trains as it’s probably the most he could get by with his mom and coach, for now. I’m sure it’s better than nothing, if you tolerate milk, but I’ll stick to my Surge.
