Trump: The First Year

If you could find me these God like people who have never failed over the course of a 40 year career I’ll happily support them next presidential election

WHO exactly is “butt-hurt”???

I wonder if that has anything to do with the media coverage? Naw…silly me.

He has diarrhea of the mouth syndrome… He requires his people to pledge loyalty and tell dumb lies to make him feel good… Lawyers say keep your mouth shut he can’t understand that and we are in for a whole bunch of retarded nonsense week after week. Big shocker even W thinks he’s a buffoon and Barry O doesn’t even bother to talk about him. Dems hate him, indies think he’s dumb, mods think just get my tax break and fuck off, die hards embrace the orange shower… The rest of the world gets to watch and laugh

You already support someone who is currently president and failing on a near daily basis.

The Trump haters will rarely if ever give him credit for anything Raj…you are wasting your time.

It’s become abundantly clear there are two different movies playing on one screen.

Fixed that for 'ya, Zeb…

Mufasa I asked you long ago to make a nice long list of Obama’s accomplishments. Then…I never heard back from you.

For the record I did give him credit for killing Osama Bin Laden.

Appointed a conservative to the SC.

Struck down Obama’s leftist executive orders

Calling for tax reduction

Will be overturning Obamacare

Killed 16 of Isis top leaders

Warned the Muslims on their own soil to help prevent terrorism

I’d say Trump is succeeding pretty well in spite of a rabid biased unfair media…

Edit: I forgot to mention that illegals crossing the Mexican border are down about 50%

Did Trump win the election or was that also a failure?

I wonder if people can admit that he did succeed at something

You already gave him a D minus and now he’s undermining his own chance at a travel ban. We’re all watching the same movie.

My criteria are based on his immigration and foreign war policy.

I don’t think he’s failed at everything

What about when you remember the GOP controls every branch of govt? Seems to me that having a hostile media means basically nothing compared to controlling all branches of govt. You know, since they’re the ones that make the laws and the media doesn’t.

I gave Trump a D because :

  • he didn’t end DACA which he promised to do on day 1
-he not only didn’t stop refugees but he lifted restrictions on quotas
  • he fired missiles into Syria

I’m not sure if you’ve answered/commented on this and I missed it, but what is your take on the 110bil Saudi arms deal?

I don’t like it but that was post 100 day mark, the grade was on his first 100 days

I agree controlling three branches of government is a good thing. The media forms opinions or at least tries to. For example, not mentioning Trump successes and instead side tracking everyone with the Russian nonsense. That will blow up in the dems face pfury…you will see…

But as I said the point is the same. Trump has succeeded pretty well these first four months.

Struck down Obama’s leftist executive orders pipeline now free to build

Calling for tax reduction

Will be overturning Obamacare

Killed 16 of Isis top leaders

Warned the Muslims on their own soil to help prevent terrorism

Illegals crossing the Mexican border are down about 50%

NFIB states that small business optimism is at something like a 17 year high.

Edit: Given what Trump has been up against and what he has accomplished I will give him a solid B for his first four months. It would have been an A if Obamacare was ditched.

Trump and the GOP can run the table. The media can print anything it wants, but they are largely powerless.

The New Right doesn’t govern - they establish a bogeyman and attack relentlessly in lieu of governing. Hillary has exited the stage (more or less), and so there was a void the New Righties of the world have to quickly identify a new target to demonize. It was hatred of Obama for years, then it was hatred of Hillary Clinton - and with real foes vanquished and despite power over the branches of government, they put more energy into hating the media and trolling the Left than they do balancing budgets or fixing education.

I know I was just asking generally. [quote=“zeb1, post:1081, topic:229190”]

To be fair, the GOP could have shut down the entire Russia nonsense months ago, but instead have seen multiple GOP members buying into this “nonsense.” Trump just isn’t smart enough to make the Russia stuff disappear, unless his goal this whole time was the actually make it worse (in which case, great job Trump).

Personally when I consider that GOP controls all 3 branches of govt, the list of “accomplishments” seem pathetic, but we’ll have to agree to disagree.
