As a âyoungâ person, if the mandate to have HC is removed, Iâll be dropping my healthcare. So will a LARGE chunk of people my age and younger. In a macro sense, all insurance is a scam. My generation understands that better than most.
Canât say Iâm mad about it tbh. I can think of plenty of better uses for my money than keeping premiums down for old people.

I donât understand what you mean here.
The vast majority of the population (in regards to every type of insurance) will never collect close to the amount of premiums they pay over a lifetime. This applies to car ins, life, home, flood ins, etcetcetc.
Maybe âscamâ was a strong word, but after a few years of paying my premiums and not using any insurance since you were 15, it sure starts to feel like one.
Edit: AND this isnât even counting the money insurance companies make on the back end by investing/using your premiums for addt profit.
And it will continue to feel that way until you suffer a catastrophic incident, after which it wonât.

Side bar, even including catastrophic incidents, in a macro sense the numbers still never come close to flushing out. I understand most insurance youâd rather have and not need it rather than the other way around, which is why I understand its purpose in a micro sense.

Anything these people publish that are built upon secret sources should automatically be seen as fake news until corroborating evidence is presented.
But a report that hasnât been published that the source claims to have seen is evidence right? I mean a site that has nothing but anti-Muslim stories having an article on female genital mutilation does not require evidence just to say hey we looked at a report trust us.
