Skin in the game folks, skin in the game. Once you start applying that principle, everything becomes so much clearer…
Five months ago.
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) said Monday the country needs to reopen while accepting the fact that there are going to be deaths from the coronavirus.
“Of course everybody wants to save every life they can, but the question is towards what end, ultimately?” Christie said in an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash on The Daily DC Podcast.
For me this was the republican version of “We don’t need those kind of people”. Then to hear their general population of start repeating that crap, I was astounded by how stupid and pliable this new wave of conservatards are.
It’s like “Great! {Trump, Christie, etc.} said something! Now I don’t have to think no more. ”
Another stupid stunt in line with all his other stupid stunts . He put those secret service guys in the car with him in serious risk all for a complete useless photo op. This guy is not wrapped too tight.
Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary Presidential “drive-by” just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die. For political theater. Commanded by Trump to put their lives at risk for theater. This is insanity.
That Presidential SUV is not only bulletproof, but hermetically sealed against chemical attack. The risk of COVID19 transmission inside is as high as it gets outside of medical procedures. The irresponsibility is astounding. My thoughts are with the Secret Service forced to play.
How many people would be admitted to a hospital with only mild symptoms? How many would want to go to a hospital with mild symptoms? He sounds like a coward.
Listen to how he uses his words in the last few minutes. I’m getting that the intent is he’s setting it up to later claim he knows a lot more than the doctors and experts after this because he’s “been to school; in the trenches”.
Kelly Anne Conway just stated that he daughter Claudia tested positive for covid. She has her mom to thank for this. Hopefully she will survive this and not have any lasting affects. I’d love to be a fly on the wall in that house.
“I learned a lot about Covid. I learned it by really going to school. This is the real school. This isn’t the let’s-read-the-books school. And I get it. And I understand it. And it’s a very interesting thing and I’m going to be letting you know about it.”
Jesus fucking Christ. You are the president of the United States, with the entire medical and public health industries at your fingertips, some of whom we’ve SEEN begging you to take this seriously. And now…now, because you’re in some posh digs in the penthouse of Walter Reed being stroked by a team of sycophant doctors, you think you can “let people know about it”?
Since it was NBD, why didn’t you put your mask in your pocket and head over to see how your countrymen were doing in the halls of the NYC hospitals in April, learn from the “real school” there? Or last month in Mississippi?
He has been cavalier with his own life. I have been arguing for months that the way the virus is being managed in nonsense and for the vast majority of people it’s nothing to worry about, but for an obese 74 year old it could very well be the end of him. He is the one who should have been wearing masks (preferably N95) and staying away from people.
There is a saying, what is joke to you is death to me, here it’s the other way around.
