This whole oh my god we are so innocent, we would never spy on our adversaries and release that information in a way that upsets them. That is such horse shit. An indictment of 13 intelligence officers for spying. That almost falls under comedy, we indicted spies for spying. What do you think our intelligence officers are?

And let’s also remember what WikiLeaks is claiming. Their claim is they did not get it from Russian sources. This could very well still be true. Assuming this is Russian intelligence, they wouldn’t directly give it to WikiLeaks would they?
I still believe Seth Rich was involved with the leaks but obviously I can’t prove it.

I’m not here to try to call the Russians good people. I think repeatedly I’ve said that wasn’t a good thing, they do bad stuff. That also wasn’t their justification for the invasion. But I don’t need to agree with Russia to make the point that we’re not such innocent people and it’s good to talk to the leaders of nations who do things we don’t agree with. Would you have us go to war instead?
Russia is again the second biggest player on the world stage.
Whatever mistakes in the past getting the relationship with Russia right however it should be is imperative to get right.
It’s pragmatism not love or hate.
I don’t think anyone here is objecting to talking per se. It’s what Trump said that’s disturbing.
Trump by now I would suspect you’ve learned that he praises everyone he’s doing business with and bashes everyone who is criticizing him, But you can rely on what he’ll do. He gets these silly accusations of being a Russian puppet all while being harder on Russia than the previous two administrations. How many Russian troops did obama order killed? Trump had 200 of them killed. What did previous administrations do to secure the Ukraine? Trump sent weapons that the previous administrations had refused to send them. Obamas energy policy was about as pro Russian as you can get. While Trumps energy policy is seriously lowering the value of natural gas which Russia relies on.
Trumps actions have not been particularly pro Russian
I think you’ll find, after a brief re-evaluation of the facts, that Trump’s actions have been spectacularly beneficial to Putin.

I just named areas where he we seriously hurt Russia. We’ve sold weapons to the Ukraine, pretty much ending their chances of an easy military victory. We have lowered the cost of oil throughout the world and done so long term. We increased our military budget, have encouraged NATO to do the same. Literally killed Russian military personnel in Syria. In what way have we benefited them? And talking nice that is not a benefit

You are not getting the point, which is we haven’t benefited them in any real way. It would take you 10 seconds to name where we helped them, if we had. You say it has been so well discussed. But you are not able to say, because you have nothing to say. I’m sure someone threw a bunch of words in the air that never amounted to anything real. Real things like I stated, where we have hurt Russia, dead Russians, damaged economy. Just name something real. L I just spent 15 seconds at work on a cell phone and came up with real things. you could do the same if you had anything at all
