Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 2)

Good question. I don’t know. I don’t live in California anymore, so I’m not as invested in the political analysis as I was before.

Of course forcing him out is good for Democrats. Their “jungle primary” backfired on them. That’s why he was me-too’d when he was me-too’d, and not years before when he was still useful.

Yep. I get the feeling that they view Maine as a lost cause, especially with the recent enactment of the 1920’s KKK’s only political priority of ending public funds for sectarian schools.

Democrats actually took the policy even further than the KKK advocated for, ending public funding for a lot of other decades-old Catholic-based charities like the sober living homeless shelter. All of those funds were redirected to the “low barrier” homeless shelters, with Maine Democrats legislating the “low barrier” requirements like no ID needed, no background checks needed, no sobriety needed, not active treatment needed, and transgender ideology required. Technically the Catholic ones would still be eligible for funding if they ran it as another flophouse, instead of as they have with a very good track record spanning decades.

The upcoming property revaluation is going to hammer a lot of Lewiston’s Catholics who are still around and have owned their homes for decades. Our last revaluation was in 1987 and the upcoming one is going to be too much for a lot of retired folks on fixed incomes to manage. It will accelerate the already significant outflow of Catholics from Lewiston, which used to be one of the most Catholic cities in New England (along with having more per-capita French speakers than New Orleans).

I dunno, it’s worked out pretty well in practice, especially in this case by increasing the chances of winning a broader share of people who don’t like accused rapists or sexual harassers or people who pay porn stars to fuck them when their wife is pregnant.

You forgot to mention his 34 felony convictions prosecuted under a novel legal theory for improperly documenting his hush money payments to said hooker.

In related news, I just started re-reading the abridged version of The Gulag Archipelago. The author was also a convicted felon due to anti-Soviet agitation and founding a malicious organization.

I didn’t mention anyone specific.

Interesting how you plugged that in there.

I’ll give you another.

He’s never had a callus. He’s never had a drop of sweat on his brow that didn’t come from a sauna. He’s never known the weight of a heavy tool. He’s never worked a double. He’s never even made his own sandwich.

You must be referring to Arthur Kavanaugh, the politician born with no limbs. I didn’t realize he was into hookers, but I’m not going to judge him for it.

That sounds good and all, but when you don’t own a sled, sober and sheltered homeless are like Steinborn squats, the setup just ain’t worth it. For your conditioning, you want your homeless to be out in the open and strung out.
That way you can rope one and drag him around with minimal setup time. They’re usually on the skinny side so you might wanna rope up 3 or 4. Do it at the crack of dawn if their rambling throws you off your game, cause they don’t wake up that early. Or use a head set. I’m actually a bit jealous now, so many free sleds lying around in Lewiston. Not even the Scandinavian model, efficcient as it is (used to be?), provided Universal sledwear in such fashion.

Is that a good thing, though, having French speakers around you? Sounds a bit un-American to me, not to mention annoying.

It’s a mixed bag, but it was great when we still had really good French restaurants with working class town prices. We had a place called “Fuel” that still ranks as the best restaurant I’ve been to with plates under $20. My mom was blown away by it and she worked at THE French restaurant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin back in the late 60’s, early 70’s. Braised bone-in pork shanks for $18, coq a vin for $17, steak au poivre for $23, plus lots of great specials had me eating there once a week or so when it was open.

The head chef from Fuel opened up an upscale bar with a n upscale French restaurant above it, but it closed a little over a year ago. I was part of the opening staff as his doorman for two nights per week for the first few months, but sadly I didn’t get to use any force to remove customers because they all behaved themselves.

I did get to throw a Frenchie out of the dive bar I worked at. He surrendered pretty quickly after I put hands on him and swore at me in French.

Good times…

Yeah I’ve never seen a brawl break out in a French restaurant. They should open one in the guetto. That would do it.

Yep, They’d rather have you not understand their insults before they lower themselves and speak another language.

In Lewiston’s case, the ghetto opened up next to the French restaurant.

Back when the bar opened you’d see an occasional crackhead scurrying on by, but you didn’t need to dodge biohazardous needles, piles of shit, hookers, and street zombies to get your French cuisine. When Fuel was still in-business our downtown was actually pretty hopping, with a number of great bars, restaurants, and shops.

You can still get some good poutine in the area, but that’s French-Canadian cuisine and Pinky D’s Poutine truck doesn’t serve coq a vin or balsamic braised bone-in pork shanks.

I don’t really seek out Poutine, but I’ll get some occasionally. It’s good…

But this for $18 was worth the cost of living next to so many Frenchies.

Biden is still at it. It’s tough to tell if he actually mistook this guy for Obama and then realized his mistake, or if this was just more Biden charm shining through in the form of bad racist jokes, but man, that was BAD.

Thank goodness Trump played 4D chess and agreed to the Democrats’ absurd debate terms. I think he probably would have won against a Biden/Harris ticket, but don’t forget how we were told that Biden wasn’t just compos mentis, but sharp as a tack.

Heh the French might be a bit annoying but I like their culture, would like to see it preserved if still possible.
Their cuisine is great, and so is their literature, music, and even comic books. Yann Tiersen is my favourite composer ever.

Hey, and they did give you guys a hand against the Brits. So there’s that.

Bill Clinton is not looking too good either.
I can’t believe Trump, a guy who knows ‘‘the best words’’, believes you should move as little as possible and is a diet coke/McDonalds junkie has shown way less decline than Bill. Guy was a smooth talker not long ago, sounds like my grandpa now, just before he took a dirt nap.

One of the lesser-known Trump policies has been a 1000 percent tariff on Romanian soil, which used to be moved by rail cars to well-known Clinton lairs.

I’m not sure the pope or the churches position is pro open borders. The pope hasn’t let millions of people walk into our country, we did that. The catholic position is spelled out in the Catechism. This is included: Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants’ duties toward their country of adoption. Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens.

The church doesn’t promote limitless open borders to the detriment of natives.

I suppose it depends on how Catholic you consider Catholic Charities of Maine to be. They’ve been one of the principal enablers of mass migration in Maine going back over a decade now, receiving funding from private donors and the diocese, but primarily through government grants at both state and federal levels. I don’t think another nonprofit organization exists who have done more to enable mass migration in Maine.

The federal funding was cut off in 2025, and just like that Catholic Charities of Maine is no longer resettling anyone in Maine.

Catholic Charities also operates in other states as well. On the surface, the work certainly aligns with Catholic values, as long as you forget how words like “refugee” and “asylum-seeker” were redefined by Democrats to mean anyone who shows up for any reason whatsoever.

Thats the problem right there. I used to donate (a considerable amount for me)to catholic charities of the albany diocese and had to stop when it became apparent they’re not fully aligned with the faith. Don’t get me wrong they do a lot of good, but their priorities are often wrong. They’ve become just like any other nonprofit full of people who use the charity as a means to grants and tax payer money.

That’s been my observation as well. People respond to incentives, and Democrats (and even many Republicans) worked very hard to incentivize mass migration by granting money to ALL KINDS of organizations who helped enable it.

I was raised Catholic and confirmed when I was a teenager, so I think I know a thing or two about Catholic values.

Communism is effectively a 100 percent tax rate, if we’re to compare it to how the government in Maine operates and continues to increase taxes on the population. There is very little practical distinction between chattel slavery and the excessive tax rates of Marxist-Leninist Communism as it existed in The Soviet Union and Mao’s China.

To put it in the terms of a particularly famous Catholic author, Tolkien described The Scouring of The Shire as lots of gathering, but not much sharing at all. Sam, Merry and Pippen then went on to lead the slaughter of the gatherers, restoring peace and prosperity to The Shire. Frodo sat the fight out and made sure the slaughtering was restrained to the bare minimum needed.

I still think Jackson’s films were outstanding and a triumph of filmmaking and literary adaptation, but The Daily Gondor makes a lot more sense if you’ve read the books.
