This happens in Maine, too, where love and light puff pieces get written about people who end up being crooks and deeply ensconced in the Democratic Party grifting machine. Mama Shukri had numerous pieces written about her market in Lewiston that turned out to be a multi-million dollar EBT fraud front. Her daughter had multiple pieces written about her too before being one of the recipients of mass shooting donations. Iman Osman was a much-touted “community leader” currently facing firearms theft charges after getting elected to the Lewiston City Council (and being appointed to the school committee by the mayor).
Not every Maine Democrat is in on the grift, but the party apparatus seems to be operating one massive grift. I’m sure they love it when woke SJW’s help them for free because they really believe in the love and light.

I think we’re seeing a pattern with the Trump administration. First Venezuela, then Iran, and now we are apparently entering into a defense partnership with Indonesia, who control the Straights of Malacca. It is an even higher volume chokepoint than The Straight of Hormuz for the world’s oil supply, and most of China’s oil imports pass through it.
I’m not sure what Trump was thinking with the AI-generated photo of him looking like Jesus healing the sick, but hopefully he doesn’t do anything like that again. All of the Obama as Jesus artwork was bad enough, but at least the Obama Administration wasn’t putting it out directly on social media. I generally like how the Trump Administration is using social media, but they need to get the Groypers and whoever conjured up that ridiculous picture out of the administration.

I would love to hear the Pope’s explanation for how open borders has been good for Catholicism in Maine, especially Lewiston. We have New England’s only Basilica and our last remaining Catholic high school just closed permanently.
Lewiston was majority Catholic as recently as 2010. I don’t think the city is majority Muslim yet, but Lewiston Public Schools is at roughly 56 percent of students.
I would love to understand why the church has funds for migrant resettlement but not for St. Dominic’s catholic school.
I actually think this is good for democrats and bad for republicans. California has a jungle primary and with him out of the way the vote isn’t being split like it was previously.
