So was I. Even was an alter boy.
Never got molested though, so no payout.
That wasn’t a dig at you though, it was at JD Vance.

HBO/Max website has the extended versions of the LOTR movies. Can’t wait to rewatch.
I know we’ve already talked about this image, but if you get some Jesus robes, a stethoscope, and a Trump latex mask this would be a pretty funny Halloween costume.
It will be a great costume. Even the Babylon Bee is getting in on all of the joke material Trump just gave everyone.
I know! Everyone will be reminded of it right before the midterms!
It will be an incredible costume, one of the best anyone’s ever seen. I know a lot about costumes, probably more than anyone else in history. Americans will have costumes that, frankly, nobody ever thought could be possible prior to this administration.
Eew.

Just a reminder that the antichrist is not the antichrist unless he tricks Christians in to following him, not the godless left.
Not as I understand the Bible. The Church (true Christians) are taken before the Tribulation begins. Many call it the rapture of the Church.
I’m suprised to hear you say that since you prefer the KJV.
Edit: I forgot about dispensationalism. Carry on.
Second edit/rephrase: I am suprised to hear that since you know the KJV is the word of God.
For future reference, I do not prefer the KJV. It is the word of God.
Carry on

I like it so much that I bought a facsimile of the AV 1611. Reading the font is a real challenge and quite a few words are spelled different. I sent a very familiar passage to make reading it fairly easy.
I’m sure you’ve discussed this in a different topic somewhere, but why do you believe the KJV as opposed to other versions is “the word of God”. If you could just point me somewhere so I don’t clog up this topic.
The most comprehensive source is a book, New Age Bible Versions by G. A. Riplinger. It can be purchased from avpublications.com. It is lengthy (742 pages) and dense with detail.
When a friend and I read it, we decided that it would be a good reference if it had an index with all pages noted for every Bible verse that was mentioned. So we comprised a comprehensive Bible verse index, which is now part of all of the new books sold, and has been since the early 2000’s.
If you want to listen to the person that got me thinking that the KJV is the word of God, James W. Knox of The Bible Baptist Church of DeLand, FL has a multitude of sermons. Look to jameswknox.org.
With Religion and the Bible, it seems like at some point you just need to say “This Is It” get on board and buy in and have faith.
Otherwise you can get caught up in an endless cycle of debate, doubt and questions.
If the Bible is your roadmap you cant spend forever questioning it.
I’d argue that it’s actually a requirement.
I suppose “forever” is the operative word. It would be nice if you never had to question the validity or accuracy of the Bible. But with vast amounts of information a fingertip away it is difficult to avoid negative critics of the Bible. I don’t see how a person can avoid finding themselves questioning the Bible, at least since the 1970’s.
It doesn’t help much that most all cemeteries (I mean seminaries) teach textural criticism to all of their students. They graduate “knowing” that there is no actual word of God.
