Sadly so.
I condemn every side who does purposeful raw war crimes against civilians. No matter what I think about the war or context. International law is weak, but it still better than no law at all.

What makes you think we wonât? Nothing is over yet
It seems so. Truce did last just some hours.
Just because the clock has run out doesnât mean the game is over. It might only be halftime.
Well it was a short halftime. Players did not even got out from the field. Hahah.

Iran will not allow ships through the Strait of Hormuz due to what it considers a violation by Israel of a two-week ceasefire agreed between Tehran and Washington, Iranian news agency Fars reported on Wednesday.
Seems like the Lebanese government should have kicked out Hezbollah on their own.
Hahah.
You are one of those critiquing the âwarâ as if it is over. I havenât left the stadium yet.
I did, but some posts above I noticed that truce did not held and the game is on.
Donât get me wrong. I want the same thing as you guys, victory for the US. Iâm not pro- or anti-Trump, he is not my president after all. I tend to keep silent in US politics, since itâs not my fight and I donât have time to learn deeply enough from it to wanting to comment. But foreign policy I do follow, and I tend to be quite critical. Not just towards US, but towards all.
Everything Iâve read says Iran attacked Israel last night before Israel attacked Lebanon.
the game is on
Please allow me to just be blunt. Until the US war ships are reassigned to other location(s) and leave, only the naive would consider the âwarâ is over. And even that doesnât assure the war ships will not return, if needed (from the administrationâs perspective.)
We still have troops and ships on the way.

Sure. I was a bit ahead of myself to comment about that, since the truce did not even took place. But if that truce would have worked and ended up to peace, it would have been as I said.
But for my defense the US government has made the same mistake over and over again while celebrating the âregime changeâ in Iran or âVictoryâ over Iran. But itâs probably just political posturing instead of them being naive. Twojar also made the impression that the war was a success, even though nothing much has been achieved yet.
Also, why did you put quotation marks on the word war? Itâs a war of aggression, letâs not sugarcoat it.
why did you put quotation marks on the word war?
I will only address âwarâ without quotations if it is a declared war by Congress.
I guess thatâs one way to look at it.
But defining war only as officially declared conflict leaves a lot of wars out. War is not the easiest thing to define.
But defining war only as officially declared conflict leaves a lot of wars out.
Not at all. That is the benefit of quotation marks.
Are you speaking only wars waged by the US?
Those are the ones that I converse about.
I do understand that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is a war.
But when conversing in the written word about conflicts involving the USA, I make the distinction between a military conflict that doesnât become a declared war and an actual declared war.
Sounds reasonable. I approached the word from a global/general angle.

It is the STEM in me. Words have meanings. I like mine to be as precise as I can be.

Itâs the same in philosophy after all.
Itâs been said that major part of philosophy is just agreeing on definitions.
