I think we were all hoping it was over. My read on the general tone where I live is nobody wants this. We’re all just holding our breath praying this doesn’t pop off into a much larger mess.
The aggression started in 1979 and hasn’t stopped since.
Just if the scarf rebels would have been aided by the west.
A huge chunk of political disagreement comes down to poor reading comprehension and a lack of dictionary use.
Here in Lewiston, a friend of mine was recently served with a “cease harassment” notice by the police at the request of far-left City Councilor, School Committee member, AND State Representative Harriman (yes he holds all three offices).
The only problem is that his only interactions with Harriman have been cordial public comments during government proceedings and a brief handshake at a public polling location. All he did was criticize his policies and very rude and dismissive conduct towards mass shooting victims who are still upset about donations being diverted to unrelated immigrant and prisoner nonprofits.
Other local government officials have tried similar things, but luckily our district attorney is not a woke mess and swiftly rescinded the protection from harassment order. It’s the same mentality that pervades the Democratic party today, where any criticism against it is called “hate speech”, and it is a continuation of socialist revolutionaries’ century-old tactic of using euphemisms and hyperbole for everything. It muddies up the language on purpose.
He went and “harassed” him again at last night’s council meeting.
Definitely. Vague definitions are in the center of political debates.
Brian Krassenstein functions the same way as egregious language mistakes and implausible stories do in Nigerian prince email scams. Both filter out people who aren’t going to fall for it, leaving only the most gullible and easily manipulated people to focus on.
Much of the last 10 years worth of social division comes from people who can’t understand why everyone else doesn’t share their hysteria about Trump while gobbling up the flimsy narratives of lying grifters.
You don’t need to repeat yourself.
I didn’t think I could detest this motherfucker more when he was the Socialist PM, but boy was I wrong. Everytime I listen to him speak my Blood Pressure goes through the roof. Plus that fucking accent… I remember when Putin dropped a bunch of bombs during his visit to Kyev just to troll him… lol. Too bad he didn’t dropped them all on his blowfish head of him.
Iran will require ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz to pay the cryptocurrency equivalent of $1 per barrel of oil on board during the two-week ceasefire with the U.S.
That’s not suspicious.
They hope to require ships to pay this toll.
I recommend treating Iranian narratives with an equal amount of skepticism you apply to anything said by Donald J. Trump, 45th and 47th President of The United States of America.
New acronym dropped in Canada. This is what happens when they lose at hockey.
Now they’re usurping people that can’t even reject them.
Thats sad. But not like boo-hoo sad. More like nobody wants to be on their team sad.
Maybe that’s why Canada’s trying to round up all of the semi-automatic guns right now.
Here’s JD Vance winning the spelling bee with this new term:
Random fact, when I lived in SF all the biblically deviant people I worked with were already complaining about alphabet creep.
The best solution they liked was to just call everyone “queer.”
Which I think is really funny, considering how that came full circle.
Our mayor tried to stop a mass shooting survivor from speaking about the mass shooting funds going to immigrant and prisoner advocacy nonprofits.
They have been hoping people just let it go and the frustration is showing in our woke joke of a mayor’s voice.
The whole argument to justify it centers around The Maine Community Foundation stating that they were very clear about the existence of two funds, but when you look at the handouts they gave to the survivors and the fundraising communications, they obviously weren’t. The whole legal argument is that they were sufficiently vague about who would actually get the money they were raising on the backs of murder victims.
Nobody is letting this go.
