I wish people would at least learn what freedom of speech actually is before saying it doesn’t exist at least when speaking about America. Because the countless examples of (“xyz happened what happened to freedom of speech?!?!”) when xyz isn’t a a violation of freedom of speech is exhausting.

No, I’m all for free speech. Among the many benefits of living in a place where free speech reigns is that trolls like you announce themselves for who they are. As much as it’s a disappointment that people like you wallow in the hate that sites like BitChute promote, I’d rather have it out in the open so we know who’s crazy.
And no, BitChute isn’t anything like Youtube is or was. Youtube was never primarily a place for hate filled rhetoric, conspiracy theories, etc. You’re right in that I didn’t spend too much time on the videos there. No need. The entire front page was completely filled with conspiracy theories, anti-Semitism, QAnon, etc. I don’t need to watch that stuff to know it’s complete garbage. I’d suggest you do the same but I suspect that’d be a lost cause.
Free speech isn’t going anywhere. On Twitter, FB etc, all you have to do is not be a complete bag of shit and you’ll stay within bounds of their policies which they have the right to set as they see fit since they are corporations. Nobody is stopping Alex Jones et al. from writing books, making a documentary, posting on the hate sites you frequent etc. Jones was just on Joe Rogen’s podcast not too long ago. It’s you who’s confused about what fee speech is.

Well you are just showing ignorance, laziness and closed mindedness by dismissing something before you’ve even looked at it. Plenty of videos have information in them that I don’t give credence, but might still have other information that even that you either agree with or at least don’t like but but admit its factually correct.
Your attitude is -see something that triggers you, dismiss it because of feels and ignore any information that disagrees with your feels. You paint yourself as a white knight fighting imagined evils. I might take you seriously if you at least made an effort to watch in full something that you actually link, let alone something that I linked.
Do the deplorable trumpers and Qanons exist in the numbers we see today, for the 2022, 2024, and beyond elections? Or, with dear leader getting voted out and likely living out his last preordained heartbeats fending off lawsuits and criminal cases, do these folks fade back to the dark dank place they came from?
This was a much stronger populist movement than the Tea Party, which died out after about 6 years. Does this movement die out anytime soon? Do the events of Jan 6th and the association with MAGA make the movement die quicker, or give it longer life?

I tend to think so which is a different answer than I would have given pre storm the capitol. That just hurt the Trump brand so much it can’t be overstated. Quickly he went from possible 2024 run (I always viewed this as just a grift opportunity), possible Republican kingmaker, etc to a second impeachment and essentially a public callout by both sides (albeit at different levels).
The passion may be high now and it may still be somewhat high a bit from now but that cost a bunch in terms of the (struggling for the right word) people who might not have been die hard storm the capital types. And he had a lot of those with a lot of passion for still.
I think those people slowly dwindle off. The Q anon/Proud Boy types have always been there and will always be there they will just change names/brands.
Some of them will be going to dank dark places soon. But three squares and plenty of company I bet!

I agree. I think he had a lot of people supporting him because they wanted to support a larger than life, cocksure, entertaining politician who constantly built them up, while tearing down others. It was like the middle school bully, and his group of lackies who follow him around for the social status.
Well, that bully just went too far, got called out, and instead of gaining social status by being his follower, his followers lose social status by being associated. Maybe they revel in being outcasts and contrarians again… thats partly how trump rose to power.
If he had just continued saying he really won the election over the next 4 years and taking potshots at democrats and republicans who had “wronged” him, he would have kept his base pretty damn strong. But he took his lie too far, believed his own hype, and it backfired.
I just think the sheer number will be lower. Look we had someone here even with our limited poster numbers that basically said yep I’m done. He definitely lost some people right after losing. And definitely lost more after the Capitol riot. Now he can’t even “talk” to them. Ludicrously wrong of course but you can see when he lost Twitter that he largely sulked away.
People tend to move on with time no matter what and things can change so quickly in politics. Hell even what parties think can change in no time as the GOP just showed when it embraced him.
It may be a bit, but the GOP will attempt to unify in some type of form. Usually the typical political party way (hey we may not have much in common but let’s all agree we hate that side) type stuff.
I mean we’re in some unprecedented waters here certainly in our lifetimes so who knows.
