I agree with you regarding the BLM events. To be specific, I was referring primarily to the criminal element that used the opportunity to loot stores, burn down buildings etc. I still think the entire movement has problems with messaging, goals, etc. but if they want to protest peacefully, have at it.
In response to your question about what to do about violent mobs, it’s a good question and I don’t know the answer. I do not want members of mobs shot, or hurt unless like you said an officer’s life is in danger or they’re endangering the lives or safety of others. I suspect one solution is for the organizers of such events be held accountable if their words and/or actions incite violence and it has to be applied consistently. I know the Washington DC AG, Karl Racine is taking a hard look at what was said at the rally and whether or not it crossed the line into inciting violence. If it did, they should be held accountable, charged, tried and sent to jail if they’re guilty. The same thing should apply to the BLM riots. If they can go back and find ring leaders who incited violence they should charge them and send them to jail if they’re found guilty.
To your last point, the more we find out about the attack the worse it gets. Did you see the interviews with the police officers in the last couple of days? They were in an hours long battle, being sprayed with bear spray, beaten etc. It wasn’t just a few dozen people dancing around the Capital. As you said, Pence was targeted and apparently was taken away about 60 seconds before the mob would have caught him.
You gotta improve your 30 second elevator “pitch” technique.

You should have asked your superiors to formalize the promotion in writing before engaging in such acts. Pressing someone over a promotion immediately after providing a sexual favor is frankly poor taste. No wonder they have repeatedly turned you down.

Pence recently called Kamela Harris to congratulate her, and to offer assistance in the changeover at the white house.
Trump, nothing. Still claiming the election was fraudulent, he received more votes, and that while he will transfer executive power peacefully, he is implying that Biden is not the legitimate president. He hasnt reached out to Biden and won’t even bother to attend the inauguration to symbolically transfer executive authority showing the country that Biden is the rightful president and we need to move forward. Self before country.
Rumor has it that trump is looking at preemptively pardoning himself. I don’t believe it. To do so would be him admitting he did anything wrong.
Pence’s political career is done. He is an outcast from both parties. I hope to all that is good in this world and the next that he writes a tell-all book about his time as VP. Maybe McConnel will write a tell all. Senate majority leader was/is the peak of his career and trump and his sychophants blowing the GA election prematurely ended it for him. There is no doubt he hates trump, and he has little to lose with the GOP transitioning out the old guard like himself in favor of younger, MAGA following populist minded leaders.

I wouldn’t be surprised with a narrative along the lines of “I did nothing wrong, but we have to prevent another witch hunt, the courts are rigged against me, it’s the only way to stop the deep state and the evil democrats from attacking my beautiful legacy.”
I don’t know enough about this kind of thing to know whether a preemptive self-pardon has any chance of standing up in court, but I think that if Trump and his legal team think that it would then that’s what we’ll see.
His legal team is bush league.
A lot of people who worked in his admin will have a hard time finding work.

Typically that would be each states Governor but they can be called up for national emergencies by the president.
So yeah, I dunno. Mopey seems to have lost his enthusiasm for the work after a bad review.

In his defence he did get banned from all the social media platforms. MSM always says negative things about him, and I haven’t heard them giving him any credit or acknowledging him authorise it at a press conference?
