This is fairly embarrassing, but I know several of you have already been through this and can give your honest opinions! I have been on TRT(Test Cyp) for approx. 9 months now. I am very happy with results so far, total test has tripled and free has doubled, and I have felt better since week two. My Doc is good about bloodwork and says it will be at least a year to dial it in. My only issue is with testicular shrinkage, and how far they have drawn up. If this is the only drawback, I can take it, but my wife is wondering where they went, sometimes they are impossible to find! Am I just being petty, or should I look into taking something to help “the boys” fall back to their original home?
Thanks for your opinions in advance.
Dude H-C-G!!! Get some and fast. It’s not good to have to hunt for your nuts.
I was on TRT (compounded cream) for about six months before the doc prescribed HCG. I had the shrinkage problem, with some testicular discomfort.
Started on 250 IU HCG two times per week, injected subcutaneously, then eventually bumped it up to 250 IU three times per week. This not only fixed the scrotum issue, but markedly improved my mood with no negative effects.

I have been on T 400ML a month since Dec of 07, my Dr. discovered my natural count was at or below 200 when he started me on the injections, I also take 50 mg of DHEA a day, so far I have noticed no change in my testicles but my count is back up in the 600 range.
My sex drive is returning and and erections are getting stronger. My concern is my Dr keeps telling me to hit the gym but I haven’t done very good job of fitting it in my schedule. Can I expect any gains if I start working out on a daily baisis and what risks if any am I facing by not lifting on such a small dose?
It took BALLS to post that question bro!
Serious question, slightly off topic (do not want to hijack)-- how do you know when to go to the doc about T levels? Is it just a blood test?
Now, I’m not in a rush to go shrink my nutsack or anything, but I wouldn’t mind knowing where I stand.
What is HCG?
Yes it is just a blood test, tired all the time, especially in the afternoon, tendecny to fall asleep after supper,no or low sex drive, ED, low grade depression - kinda no give a sh*t attitude. is why I went.
The main reason I was tested is the viagra only helped a little so the Dr thought he better start looking elsewhere. I got lucky and have a Dr. that believes in replacement therapy

hCG - Human Chorionic Gonadotropin
from Wikipedia: “In the male, hCG injections are used to stimulate the leydig cells to synthesize testosterone. The intratesticular testosterone is necessary for spermatogenesis from the sertoli cells. Typical uses for hCG in men include hypogonadism and fertility treatment.”
A blood test will tell you where you stand re Total and Free Testosterone, but the decision to begin TRT would also be based on how you subjectively feel. Search the site for “TRT” threads.
Happydog has put together this incredibly useful page of TRT links:

I’ve only been on trt about 7 -8 wks now and I swear they are shrinking but I can’t tell for sure. I keep asking my wife to check (she has more hands on time than me). She refuses to do it thinking I’m full of crap and just trying to get her hands in my pants…marriage sucks
Of course they’re shrinking! Put a cast on your leg for eight weeks and see what it looks like. Atrophy.
SteelyD - great pun.
HCG - Controlled substance I presume! I guess I need to check with my Doc and see if this is a possibility in his treatment protocol. He is on TRT himself at 44 years of age, that is why I am using him, I am hoping he is staying on top of all this since he is putting the same stuff into his own body!
Anybody out there already taking HCG? How, how much, and what have you had for results? Costs? My insurance sucks, but my doc found a compounding pharm. locally that get me my test pretty cheap!
Check out the “HCG Update” on this page:
hCG isn’t just for cosmetic purposes. Your testicles produce more than just testosterone and the ancillary hormones they produce also contribute to your health and well being.
Testosterone by itself is a poor HRT protocol for the majority of men.
Went to see the doc again today about the shrinkage, he says the boys hiding is caused by my vasectomy 6 months back, says they are still good sized for most men and that they must have been large to start with.
Said it would be something I might have to deal with unless they start to get too small? What the hell is too small?
Is there any way to get HCG besides my doc? Any natural remedies?
Anybody else have there balls start hiding after a vasectomy? I wouldn’t blame them if they did, but mine were that way prior to the V!
Tell the doctor your “boys” ache. And you’re tired of your wife making jokes about where they went. Also bring KSman’s post about HCG and how and why it works, and be persistent with your doctor. If he hesitates, ask him if he would sore balls 24/7, a scrotum the size of a six year old, and a wife that doesn’t understand what a man goes through…
Never back down with doctors, ever.
I’m no longer a member of the “welcome to hell” club, but I used to be, so I feel your pain.
Pun intended.
