Started TRT last year as a last resort before giving up completely on getting better from IBS.
As it turned out TRT did help leaving me able to have something resembling a normal life.
My wife and I however started working on getting a child a few months ago and as such I had my sperm count tested which didnt show anything positive. First test showed just shy of 200.000. Second showed 100.000 and the last one last week showed 2.
First one was done while on TRT.
The second while on TRT alongside deca.
The last one was about 2 months after stopping both deca and TRT.
Stopping TRT caused my IBS to flare up almost immediately and this isnt your normal IBS. This is on it’s way getting me into early retirement. Symptoms are severe to the point where induced coma has been on the table as a result of giving my body and system a chance to fight the infection or whatever the hell it is.
After the last test which came back the other day we scheduled a call with the fertility clinic trying to figure out how to get around the my low fertility without coming off TRT. The doctor however kept saying I should just quit TRT and a man in my age didnt need it. Kept trying to tell him the reason behind but he didnt care much from what I could tell.
This now leaves me at a crossroads because stopping TRT means symptoms coming back and seeing as it could take 6-8 months for my sperm count to get where it needs to I’m looking at literal hell for maybe half or even a full year. My wife, whom wants a child more than anything else even said its not worth you stopping TRT. Even if my fertility comes back record time, the time it takes for my symptoms to even begin waning away after starting TRT is at minimum several months. Stopping TRT is simply not a viable option.
So my question is if there are any way around it. I dont need my full fertility back as we are going for artificial insemination.
I gotta ask, as someone who has a rough chronic condition - was this prescribed for any medically justifiable reason, or was this for gainz? If it was for gains, I recommend thinking this stuff through a LOT more before going this route.
Was getting exactly to this^
HCG alongside TRT helps many regain fertility; you don’t necessarily need to stop Test to have working balls.

For regaining fertility, start here

Deca was a result of loosing roughly 50lbs over the course of a few years as I was unable to absorb nutrients due to IBS. So yeah gainz. Neither TRT or deca was prescribed. TRT for ibs isnt an option around here. Went to the states a in 2019 seeing a gastro intestinal clinic as the health care system around here had given up completely. They mentioned TRT having a positive effect on IBS patients and as such made it a priority to try it out. My GP however wasn’t able to help out as the research on TRT VS IBS isn’t well documented enough for the state to approve it.
Is hgc the same as hgh ? not really into pharma all that much.
Unfortunately I don’t exactly have a provider.. TRT through your GP is impossible around here and as the research on TRT to help out IBS is lackluster at best getting TRT to combat my ibs is not an option through the healthcare system.
