Don’t overthink it. The system wouldn’t let me post with only an emoji.
I hear ya. I had the audacity to question the content of an article on t nation. While my criticism was strictly towards the content of the article, I was accused by a moderator of attacking the author. It’s quite pathetic that someone’s words are above being questioned.
I must be missing something here. Gotcha.
I must not be up to speed on some particular event. My comment was based on previous relevant experience.
I don’t have any credibility as a rarely get any hearts. ![]()
Wow, quite a journey brother. Thank you for taking the time to share!
I’m really curious what will show up on your bloodwork; please keep me updated.
I admire your resilience but have to say it sounds like a “T only” protocol might bring some of your excitement in life back. Obviously I defer to you and your doctors, but my sense is you will probably go back there, which would also allow you to gauge main effects. We definitely tend to overcomplicate things with all the supplements we throw into the mix, so I think a return to baseline was wise.
Also, I find it a little surprising that you refer to TT. I thought most TRT “gurus” were on the “only FT is truly telling” train…then again, I do hear Derek from MPMD refer to TT from time to time. Out of curiosity: why do you look at TT mainly instead of FT?
I was trying to keep my response to you brief.
I look at everything. That’s my problem.
Guru. Not that’s a word I will never again put next to the word hormone. Appreciate the kind words.
Have you ever tried TRT with a shorter ester? I feel much better on Prop than on Cyp and I think the daily variations in levels due to the 20 hour half-life are probably healthier for the heart and brain than the constantly elevated levels from longer esters.
Could be worth a try in your situation
Hey what’s up man? Good to see your screen name on here. Mine got adjusted a little.
I have troches and natesto on standby. Plan is to see how I recover and then go from there.
How are you doing?
I think I felt best on about 100 mg/week of TC and 50 mg/day of oxandrolone at least for a few weeks. Nandrolone was ok until the sides really kicked in. I haven’t tried the TP or pulsing test so I may try that next.
The heart thing really was a game changer. I could live with constant depression, joint pain, constant inflammation. Stopped oxandrolone given my lipid tolerance. However once you get dysautonomia or heart issues everything else really becomes of minimal importance.
I call it my pre-COVID plan vs my post-COVID plan.
Haha I saw your name change, I’m glad you’re back! I also took a break from here for a while.
Doing much better actually, I recently converged onto a pretty good protocol after struggling for a while trying to fine tune Test C, so I’m very happy with that.
I just started experimenting with the compounded cream applied to the scrotum to see what the fuss is all about, and so far I think the dose (2 clicks 2x/day for 200mg total) is too high for me. I convert to DHT a lot already on injections, so right now I’d guess I’m probably at least 3x the range, which even if I felt amazing on this protocol I don’t think I’m comfortable sustaining ultra-high DHT levels for life.
But I do feel some positives in terms of confidence and drive, so I’m going to see what happens when I combine some daily Prop and a bit of cream. I’m also going to get some DHT cream and see what I can do with that. Since DHT is a natural Estrogen antagonist I realized I could use it to modulate E2 and might be able to find a great protocol with a combination of injections (either Test C or P) and DHT cream.
We’ll see, but I’m pretty excited about it and at least now I know there’s always a good protocol I can come back to between experimentations. Also been on 2iu/day of pharma GH for about a year and it made me blow up over that time frame in a shocking way, even on just 100mg/week of Test. If you want to blow up on low dose Test, that’s the way…holy shit. Somehow I gained an extra 20 pounds while eating and working out less and now can almost starve myself and maintain really well, it’s wild. Almost kind of worries me to be honest, even though my IGF-1 is well within range (~250)
50mg/day of Var is a lot, I got the same script from my clinic and couldn’t believe it, I thought it was a mistake at first. Somehow I never took it and stayed true to my screenname haha. It’s been in my medicine cabinet patiently waiting for over a year.
I’m sorry to hear about your heart issues, you know more about this than I do but I know some forms of cardiac remodelling/damage can be reversed, so hopefully that’s the case for you and you can safely be on low dose TRT “forever”.
Natesto sounds like a good idea, I’m starting to really become a believer in shorter esters for longevity and a host of other benefits. It’s interesting that you mention clarity of mind also. I was starting to feel slower and less verbally fluent on Cyp and it got better shortly after I started Prop. Could be placebo but maybe not, I really think constantly elevated T levels aren’t good for us
The good ole medicine cabinet. Throw some silica gels packs in the bottles if you have capsules and throw in the fridge. Or troches just throw in.
HGH. Wow you really had success. Congrats. As i get older i worry about unneccesary body mass even lean which when combined with body dymorphia then puts me in constant state of cognitive dissonance. Low bodyfat all the time also stressful. At least i am trying to cut my thryroid dose and abandoned T3.
Thanks for the encouragement and i wish you continued success.
Thanks man, I appreciate it. I hear you about the body mass. I went from 185 to 225 over the last 2 years and now I’m realizing I would probably be much healthier long term 20 pounds lighter. Oh well…haha.
I hope your health gets better. Don’t hesitate to give updates on how you’re doing, you can post in my log thread if you want, I’ll keep an eye on it. Good luck!
Haha I kept waiting for the guy to explode way higher until the end. That’s it, I’m starving myself to 205!
Me too!!
This is one ironic thing about TRT…the testosterone makes (many of us) healthier, but pushing your body mass too high is definitely a negative side effect. Not an issue for me but I do worry about it for others. Not saying you need to be thin like a runner, but you really don’t want to stress your heart by getting too big, or risk something like sleep apnea.
I would agree up to a point for those with low T or low fT, and even if not healthier maybe they are happier. Maximize the integral area of happiness dt.
Sounds like you need some THC.
I was always nicer on high doses and in a better mood all around honestly. TRT doses suck.
THC helps though. ![]()
