I pulled this practical joke on my mom that was phemomenal…way back in High School we had this kid at school who somehow ended up being homeless…my mother worked at the school so when she found out about the kid’s situation she said he could sleep at our house for a couple of nights until he figured things out…anyway…he spent the 2 nights and then found a place to stay…
so…fast forward 10 years and I sent my mom a note from the kid saying how thanks to her he had managed to finish college and go on to a career in the Navy and he was now an Admiral and he wanted to thank her and invite her to come down to Florida (we live in DC) and watch his “Admiraling Ceremony” I wrote it as if a 12 year old kid had written it using crazy words like “Admiraling Ceremony” assuming she’d realize I had written it…unfortunately she thought it was for real and decided she would attend the “Admiraling Ceremony”…so…not wanting my mom to head off to Florida I wrote her another letter saying the Admiraling Ceremony had been cancelled as he was shipping out.
This continued for about 5 years with me and She Say getting drunk and writing up fake letters…mom would always bring them out to show me and my brother (who also knew the kid) …She Say and I would take the letters when we’d go on road trips and mail them from like North Carolina, Massachussetts…at one point we would mail the letter to a friend that lived in another state and have them mail it for us so we had like Colorado post office stamps…it was great…finally my brother figured it out because we kept making the letters more and more insane…mom was truly hurt and I felt bad for a while…

yes please do. I think I’m funny IRL but I can’t mess with people with a straight face. I gave the gym troll props because he did it with a straight face I thought he was serious. This is as close to real life trolling as you can get I think, but may still actually be more of a prank. Real life trolling is probably more annoying than funny, think one chick asking other chick how her date with some guy is in front of other chick who likes same guy.
