Tricana

Has anyone tried to use Tricana on a few days on/few days (i.e., 5/2 or 4/3) off cycle to see if one can minimize the down-regulation of the thyroid associated with its use?
I have found Tricana to be quite effective with regard to weight-loss, but it seriously down-regulates thyroid hormone production and each time, I’ve regained from 1/2 to 3/4 of the weight I loss before my thyroid regains normal function. Typically, I’ve used it for 2 - 3 weeks, losing from 7 -10 pounds each time. Unfortunately, I regain anywhere from 4 - 7 pounds before my body weight stabilizes and I assume, my thyroid regains normal function.
I have used Syntrax’s Guggulbolic, Prolab’s Metabolic Thyrolean, and Biotest’s MD-6 after coming off of Tricana, and the weight I regain, as well as the time it takes before my weight stabilizes, is virtually the same regardless of the product, or combination of products I’ve use afterwards.

Triacana, aka Triac, aka Triax, is simply the worst thyroid hormone possible for bodybuilding or fat loss purposes and the fat regains you’ve experienced are typical or actually better than average… some gain back MORE fat than they lost!

The whole point, medically, of this particular
thyroid hormone is that it strongly suppresses TSH production, and therefore natural thyroid production, while having relatively little effect on metabolic rate, compared to what you’d get with T3. So, for those patients where doctors WANT to suppress TSH, Triac
is just the ticket! They can suppress the TSH
pretty well without speeding the overall metabolism.

So if your purpose is to speed the metabolism
and you hope to minimize suppression, Triac is absolutely the wrong drug or supplement. Period, end of story. There is no cycling plan that will overcome the fact that it’s the very worst choice of thyroid hormone for your purposes!
