There is peace but more would be preferable. One of my local imams at one of my local masjid keeps saying that we need to be perfect. He keeps saying if John or Bill behaves wrongly, people talk bad about John or Bill. If 'Ali or Abdul does wrongly it’s “those Muslims”. At first I kinda scoffed, you could say that of any minority that happens to be a minority in a given situation. But he’s been repeating it for months now and it amazes me I’m starting to see it around me as a result when I was blind to it before. I’m pretty sure some Uyghurs would like some peace.

Worse than this, some Jews were cornered and beaten depending on the protest. During the pro-palestine protests, police presence wasn’t required here. During the pro Isreal counter-protest held in a different location over here, HEAVY police presence was deemed necessary, including officers on horseback equipped with riot gear as quite a few purportedly tried to interfere and incite trouble.

Thats what I said. Meaning I suspect that people who are overly critical of Israel may be so because of a dislike of the Jewish people. Or if your Muslim then dislike of Jewish people controlling land in the Islamic middle east.

Interesting, as I’ve routinely seen the opposite occur at the pro Palestine protests here.
Regardless, I don’t want to fight about this. I have family down in Isreal and I’ve been there myself. I also have family/friends who served in the IDF. My brother has been down to some of the areas where purported “ethnic cleansing” is occuring too.
I have my set of beliefs/opinions. This is a very complex political issue and I don’t have the time at this moment to explain why my current stance is the way it is.
With that being said, I’m going to bow out.
If you want to talk to someone about how much you dislike Isreal, Reddit is a perfect place for that!

No, it means these countries don’t recognise Isreal as a country that exists… But they’ll recognise Palestine despite Palestine having no formal recognition as a country.
No, they face persecution and risk death for simply residing within said countries.
There are a few Arab countries that do recognize Israel and most don’t. Accepting a passport is however a different matter - it does not mean either of the two things you’ve asserted yet.
If a country officially recognizes Palestine then that would by definition be a formal recognition. Recognizing Palestine when the UN hasn’t wouldn’t be an international crime, would it?

This very thread is the actual, literal, perfect place for this. You are completely free to go as far as I’m concerned. You have zero moral obligation to answer anything I’ve asked. Your silence at this point would imply nothing.
However
If you do continue to post then do it well. Do it accurately and truthfully. You’re either in or you’re out - meaning, you either have the time and energy or you do not - don’t be in and out at the same time. Don’t be posting at a low quality or mudslinging because you say you don’t have the time.

One issue with the broader conflict I find troubling is that Israel is squeezing the East Jerusalem and West Bank Palestinians out of existence. They just expropriate their houses and lands. This can’t continue or there will be another flare up, the Al-Aqsa Mosque (Temple Mount) is among the properties being looked at next for expropriation.
