You look ready for summer, Up!
Your squat form looks great. Feels like the gears are oiled and working best when form and structure work together correctly on the squat doesn’t it? When you get in to the groove you feel strong like you can move the world on your back.
Thanks Busy, Im getting there, I need a few minutes of some real sun!
GV Yea, my squat never felt so “natural” for such a un-natural thing, lol I just have a little more flexibility in my left arm, so I do have to tug my right elbow forward to match, but other than that, so smooth. Ill admit, Im curious to see what some time brings as far as numbers.
I dont want to just focus on that though…
OK, so i swear every time i wander into one of the 0-35 mens logs there is some “men” talk going on…Im horrible about keeping up, but i do skim now and then. That being said GV do NOT fall asleep with a bag of peas you know where…and take the offered Valium or other relaxing aid…
Yes, you are looking tighter. Just beautiful, Up. Lean but curvy. Well done! About knowing when you’ve hit your sweet spot with weight, if I get too lean my face starts looking older, too close to the bone. The old faces or fannies dilemma. I don’t see that in you. You’re looking pretty.
Yay about your squat form, and improving your on your more pushups goal. Pushup variations can really get me.
I must have missed the public service announcement about falling asleep with frozen peas, but caution dully noted. ![]()

@EyeDentist - I’d trade for getting to eat as much as some of you guys, and some capped delts, and damn these narrow clavicles…It’s always something. Saw your comment about The Commodores pic circa 1977. It was all about the hair. I saw a great Earth, Wind and Fire poster from that era, for next time your redoing your office. ![]()

Aye chihuahua…I’m really not going to get any work done the rest of the day…looking lean but curvy and very well done…ai yi yi…
Thanks for the advice about the frozen peas, no one wants dangling ice balls and I’m definitely taking the valium before the op and vicoden after as prescribed for pain.
Back definition is looking great.

Ahh, thanks Puff. Well Im down a few pounds, some of it better have been fat. Yea, my face did fill out some with the added pounds, Im sure i will miss it when it goes. Its weird though, I always hated my thinner face, esp because long hair looks better on a fuller face, so i hope that I dont have to go back to a bob if it gets too thin. This is the first time Ive ever tried to lose weight, I feel like i was just trying to GAIN it, ha. I will not do that again!
Or I should say Ill be more aware of how I eat when i do it again. I dont think it helped to have that leg injury, but Im trying not to even think about that. I was 112-114? for years and years. (only weighed in at docs, didnt even own a scale) Anyway, today I look like a feel like I should. Not sure i can explain that. But your right, my face may dictate how far i take this.
My guess is 116-117? Its hard to tell where the fat will come off next, I swore one of the 1/2 lbs came off my freakin forearms…, gee thanks.

…It happened to my hub, it was not a good scene!
Thanks Joe, if only the rest of me responded like my back. But who am I kidding, I love the process.
<really need to learn how to do multiple quotes…

yesterday was shoulders, lots of med weight high reps, and some low weight mega high reps.
Today is LEGS !! Cant wait to squat.
Down the hatch!

AND tonight Im making this again, It tastes like a cheat meal!
glazed salmon and citrus salad with a salsa verde sauce, and some quinoa with lots of fresh herbs… LOVE FOOD shows.
Puff that pea thing was for someone that is having a “v”… sorry for the confusion haha
I see you mention you starting another log? I know its hard to take the time to post/view others logs, but i hope you do.
I had to laugh about the Neil Diamond…I also had one…, Forever in blue jeans and money talks …, forget what other songs i played over and over. It was one of those make you feel happy 8-tracks, haha
Repeat of the salmon salsa verde was so so so gooooood!
I just got done reading the thread Anyone willing to coach me? in Bigger stronger leaner with stinger/rds coaching Ummm
BEST THREAD…, seriously go read it. Not sure how to put link here. So positive… and for some reason, he must say things
in a way that “I get it”, wow, ok…
yesterday
sitting hammie curls
more for warm
30/3x10
inner
35/10
45/2x10
outer
35/20
45/2x20 slow <think Ill go to gym next leg day just to see my strength on the machines i use for these(and curl/ext), not sure it really matters but will be nice to see if 120 is now 140 there. My cables are so tight.
Squats Back
warm ups <still feeling great in my hips
75/2x5
90/5x5
100/3x2
thinking next week, drop back down and get more reps? So like
same warm up
75/2x8
80/3x10 seems like the volume helps when i get going heavier. Or bring back “pause squats” Yes I get squat confusion. Probably why FS is a fav.
more hammie
35/10
45/3x10
drop
45/10
35/10
25/8
leg press cable
65/20
105/8
115/8
125/8
115/8
105/10
95/20
85/100 top half short pumps just keeping some tension
calves on LP
85/2x20
85/1x15
The leg press I have i sit upright, the pad hits upper back but my low back isnt supported that great, I wanted to go heavier, but i hate feeling it in my back, Ill just have to keep weight lighter and hit the reps and keep it slow. Or try to keep back tighter…just typing my thoughts.
Had a busy weekend with prom…no training.
Yesterday
sitting ham curl for warm up
abductors/adductors
goblet squats
5x10 40#db
SUMO
115/8
135/6
145/3x6
155/1x6
def had more in me, but little rest made it tufter
sitting curls
pyramid up and drop sets down
little pumps at the top(legs to chair) keeping tension.
leg ext
def getting stronger on these top set was 8 @75 after tons of sets pyramid and drop.
getting a better MMC with legs, happy.
back ext off lat pull down
no weight just a nice controlled tempo high rep(20-30)
SPIN
spinning after legs is crayzee
I was dropping down to 5.4mph , took all I had to get back to 7.8, but would drop back to 6.4ish. Was pleased how I kept at it. 30 min.
…as far as squats, I guess thats what i hated about them before(along with form that wasnt a good feel) is the need to over think it.
I will just do a nice 8 week JM leg wo, will take thinking out of it, and keep my focus where it should be. The second leg day Ill be a little more “free willy”.
Have a great week all!
EDIT: forgot my combo
jump squats 10#med ball 3x10e, wanted more but think the leg ext before pre fatigued them, no i know it did.
RDL 115 3x10
