Ya, well …,I am patriotic, and with my bday being July 4th, have to have the rwb suit.
I really didn’t get a good side shot, but this one is kinda side.
Ive been going back to the gym. It has been fun using different machines, not to mention having dbs that are heavier. My body is noticing the difference. My rests are purposely shorter, and just switching it up, has been good. I really want to take advantage of my last couple weeks of bigger eating. Im getting in more food on leg day and the day after, otherwise i am not forcing it. Ive been eating tons of carbs, I love carbs, and my body seems to also.

Hitting the gym has really helped me to shorten up my rests. Todays 87# 5x5 FS felt smooth , no box squats today. I just enjoy FS too much.
Bought a couple maxi dresses for spring/summer, i love them, shows the figure with out that trying too hard look.

I will say this, not every session is going to be a winner. Some days as you say, it just feels “ok” and you end up feeling like you wasted the effort. I believe Wendler has talked about it to, not letting a bad session ruin the day or the following days. Results aren’t linear and not every session will bring PR’s but loving the process should always be there. Keep it up and you’ll get things figured out, you clearly work very hard and it shows.

If you enjoy the FS then make them work for you. 5x5 is more of a strength building program. Try 4x10 or 5x10 with a lighter weight and go for the burn/pump and get some hypertrophy going on. Spring/Summer is around the corner.

OP Thanks for the volume nudge. I was being consistent hitting a heavier day then the second more of a volume/lgt wt , but as i look back i got away from that. I did have a few week run with some JM leg wk he gave me right before though, and his program usually having me looking for a bucket. So I went with 75# for 5x10 , felt awesome, knees tried to come in a bit, but fought them out, (nit picking here) If i don’t run my leg program again, Ill be sure to keep that volume UP. Thanks for keeping me aware!
I started yesterday with dropping some extra food i didn’t need. I will throw in my spin bike HIIT here and there. I want to keep my cals as high as i can.
I started , then stopped cutting before, as i knew I was jumping the gun. I am ready now.
I like doing the video or taking pics. Taking pics in the mirror makes everything look so much better, because we all use that perfect angle , great shadowing etc. That is why i do the video, more true to how i look. So I will do pics or vid or both.
Not sure how often i will post progress, but hope to get honest feed back when i do.

It is super easy to stay on track on work days, even the 4 bowls of chocolate get a snub. Seriously, I can’t get over all the bowls of candy…, Ill admit, my mouth does water if I stare at it too long. Sugar just makes my cravings go crazy, so I won’t even go there.

not sure i should keep adding sets, more reps w/ same sets or more weight ??? Thoughts anyone ???
JMHO - I’m not a BB’r per se. Five sets should be plenty. First try a few more reps - 12 to 15. If those are feeling easy and you aren’t getting a good pump by the 4th set, then you probably need to add 10lbs. Once its challenging, you can also try varying your stance width from narrow to wide to hit different areas from quads to hips. Go for the burn.
You’ll know you are there when it hurts, but you can still do the rep with good form. Once its no longer challenging, add another 10lbs.

OK, I will add reps at the 5 sets. By the 6th set I was starting to count like 1,2,3,4,5 ,1,2,3,4,5 instead of 1-10, it helped.
I wish they “looked” as strong
but Ill still keep hammering away. I am finally able to “flex” my hamstrings, I hope the MMC thing helps me out.
As far as stance, ill let the DLs hit my hips, i hate too wide stance for FS, my depth has me hitting enough glute, I need the sweep, vmo. If my hips get sore/stiff, it will end my volume, I need my volume days. That said, i do try to alt narrow and my regular stance.
I just want to maintain what muscle Ive gotten through the summer as I cut the fat out of my legs.
So far it is melting off my waist, exactly what I expected.
