So Im behind in updates… Ive done some upper and a lower

3:20 +12 85. May have hit some higher ones, but I stayed in a “pulse” zone, so I’m pretty sure it evened out. I switched from back sq to front squat about mid way. I do naturally go deeper with front, so it felt~~dare I say good?! I did havean extra couple days rest so maybe why it didnt feel brutal at all. My lungs did have a bit of a burning sensation after the sesh though. I also mixed up my finish a bit, if a bit is A LOT !

snatch grip ~~~needs work anyone do these want to give me some of the cues they use? I swear Im trying to get lower, but Im sure i need to be more up right, should I be feeling the pull back in my heels? I sometimes lift my toes a bit to do that. I still cant get my you tube working so i took some stills.

170/1/1/1 felt light, but probably because im not using the right form? Remember I do pull with a high back for conv…threw on belt for last rep also widened hands a bit, I thought i remember reading bar should fit in that hip crease?

then went on to ext and sitting curl as written

AND because I was burning off some anxiousness…threw in some…, if some is 6 sets ~~heavy leg press (3 sets w/legs together and 3 wide) and finished with a set of pulses BAM!!!

Thanks Min, not sure Im the best sucker for the job. I am liking switching BS with FS, it comes way easier for my body to hit it without thinking get deeper. Im just trying to hit parallel, and the pulses I just keep some serious tension going, Im sure they aren’t parallel. That being said they are no 1/4 squats either. Plan for next sesh, is FS and goblet, both of those have me deep, and I need my glutes to get involved more, so my concentration will be more on form, if form is even possible at 80+ haha. I do wish I started heavier, even if it meant less reps.

Are you feeling the snatch grip deads in your upper back and lats. Form looks pretty good in the stills though. Are you driving through your heels because if you are and feeling it a little there that may be good. Ankle mobility work may help you if you are feeling discomfort. One can always benefit in a myriad of ways by doing ankle mobility work.

Agree with GV. If you’re feeling it in the muscles you’re looking to work, then it’s “right”. If your goal is to do an actual snatch, then the “bar at the hip crease” at the top of the snatch pull, is the cue for finding the correct hand width position.

and double yes, felt it in lats and upper back, not in a “bad” way, just knew what muscles I hit. I have actually been doing some ankle work, litght also before my squats along with shoulders. I think Kevin pointed out my ankles, asking if i had any pain…but I never have. *knocks on table.

Haven’t done a snatch-grip pull in so long. Boy are those hard! Good for you. I am impressed!

The straps are a must for this pull. Depends on the day when I start thinking about putting them on.

So…I wanted to train, but didnt wanna train at the same time. Once I got going though…

So started with the reps, once i got to 30 I switched to FS, way more comfortable for me. I focused on form, and hitting it low. I lost track of reps but i think I only got 58? I know I was going slower and more controlled, seems low, maybe it was 68? WHo cares I guess… i went non stop for 3:40

followed this with some doubles @100 back and alt with 1 FS. I was having to work at keeping my knees from coming in a bit on the up, but they were tired, so no big surprises there. When i did FS reps, I alternated close stance (OUCH) and my regular stance.
I hope after all this rep stuff, that sets of 10 will be a breeze, even with a loaded bar. The 100 FS felt super smooth and effortless, until my knees started pinching.

added a couple plates for my 30 reps ext, did take a one mississippi at rep 20 to finish the 30. When I hit my last set, I couldnt even flex my leg they were so spent.

Upper was a PUSH day full of push press and db work and push ups. Wasnt my strongest day, but much effort was put in. Catching some nice leg deff lately. Thinking legs later or may spin and do legs hard tomorrow. Ive been much better at not just focusing on the one BP Im trying to hit/bring up.

I am eating pretty darn good, and finding a nice balance. My conditioning is noticeably getting better as my legs got tired from spinning before my lungs for once! WIN!! Not sure Im growing in the leg department (I know take a lot of time) so Im not busting out of my pants like Busy (ha) but Ill take what I can get and keep on it.
