Geeze…Can a girl lurk for more than one day?! ha.
Sorry about the injury, that’s harsh. What a freak occurrence.
So rest up UP and I’m sure you’ll soon be on the up UP.
Thanks FB
Wellll…Update
Hope everyone enjoyed the Holidays !
I will have to figure out what and where to go next as far as my leg is concerned. Im definitely NOT going to the same doctor who took a hold of my bad leg pushing my knee back into my hip at excessive speed. WTF was that? (yes, I know the answer // NO FUCKING CLUE what she was doing.
Anyway, my knee is still a little “numb”. I feel like something is “jammed”. Its also the same leg I jammed up years ago and got “released” when I face planted and the tip of my water ski dragged in the water obviously releasing something.
Im hesitant to just train upper, but my head is getting fugged up so I guess it may help my mood/mental health. Im sure Id feel worse losing everything Ive worked for, sigh. I didnt train upper basically because I thought I would “heal” sooner if I was as rested as possible.
Im also going to test out a few lower body moves today.
The article stretching doesnt work by Dean Somerset here on TN was enlightening.
Oh, I feel your pain. Injuries are as frustrating on a mental level as a physical one.
You may need an MRI if things don’t straighten around. Hang in there.
Happy New Year! Too bad you can’t just go to Walmart and buy a new bionic leg so there isn’t all this recovery and frustration. I sympathize with your travails.
Sorry about the injury, hope it’s nothing serious.
Thanks guys, things are looking up.
…Just a slight numb sensation still in knee, but I am overly focused on it. Well maybe not it does feel odd when shaving my shin up to my knee. But it is almost gone.
leg seems to have finally “relaxed” and I haven’t had any pain or aches in hip/knee/leg. Id say Im just about ready to roll. I went in yesterday to work at Pink, it was take your friend/mom to work. I had no idea I would be moving large cabinets :0, but it was good because i feel great today, and pushing those things was a short wo.
I did train upper, which felt Ahhhmazing!! Yesterday I also started back with core work. Im definitely a little squishy and carrying a couple extra fluff #s. I figure If Im lifting lighter weight its a good time to clean up my eating to see what exactly i have going on. Im not being super duper strict but should drop some fat.
Im actually doing good not getting bummed out with the legs thing, but maybe because its Jan and I have lots of time. Ive been 1 month down and it will take a few weeks to get going again. I am slightly paranoid about it happening again since Im not sure what exactly caused it. My newb guess is multiple things.
No worries I plan on taking it slow and light and will adjust accordingly
EDIT I forgot to add i plan on starting back with legs on sunday!
Good to see you’re recovering and moving on.
You work at Pink? How fun is that?
Glad to hear you are on the mend. Fluff pounds on you look mighty good. And I’d be willing to put money on that.

Ummm, well the fluff will be short lived my eating is so on! When I get that hip/butt fluff i do think i look extra curvy but I just cant seem to embrace it I guess i prefer the fit look more.
HA! NO, my daughter works there. They just asked employees to bring family or friends to help with semi annual sale. They get one night to totally change around the store. 3.99 a panty, so I stocked up UP She thought the whole “time and a half” would entice me, ahhh to be 18. She did get a kick out of me working in “her store”. Ill miss her next year when shes at college
She is home sick today, so she will be like 6 again, “Mommy can you get me…”
Great to see that you are on the mend.
Hope legs go well on Sunday.
Hi Up. Glad to hear you’re feeling better. I’m pretty sure that your idea of carrying a couple of extra pounds is a lot different than most of the rest of our ideas of what carrying a couple of extra pounds is
Hey…
So legs last sunday went well. Light and not as many reps blah blah. Felt “normal” after I was done and the next day. Actually felt so good to have my hammies sore again. Obv. my right leg was weaker so I did a lot of single leg work. Saw a chiro today. She cracked me good, ha. She thought I “adjusted” easy and was pleasantly surprised on my line up not being bad at all. Hopefully the last of this numbness dissipates soon. I think Ill be back to where I was in a few weeks, and I am so ready!
Upper is going well. I know I was right not train at all and let things heal, but i should have just did 3 weeks and then started back with upper. Ill live.hing Things are already coming back together, so Im feeling better about that. My eating finally kicked in today, I was getting a bit nervous. I used to be clean for a couple days and notice a little change, not as fast anymore. Yea, I was super super spoiled.
Ill continue with my core work. I really think it helps with my lifts, and not making other body parts take over to compensate. Sure front squats deads etc work the core but for me, nothing like the direct work.
Not sure Im ready to log, and God knows Im not worthy of the log tittle anyway … yet
I can tell from your avi that you really fell apart during the layoff.

Sorry to hear about your injury. It sounds like you are back on it. Adjust and carefully work around. Listen to your body.
and I sooo relate to this. My oldest is a junior so I have one more year. I just can’t believe it. It’s going to be so hard on me to have him gone. I’ve enjoyed every phase, but the “nearly grown” phase has been just golden.
That’s a bad ass new avi there Up, buns intended.
Sorry to hear about your injury but I’m glad to hear its getting better and you are back at it.

Clearly, she’s totally let herself go. A pity, really.
