Prove this with any sort of factual information or stop with this.
I’ve seen enough white people get busted, searched illegally (myself included), pulled over, and hassled by police to know this is utter bullshit.
Do you believe in the concept of white privilege?
No.
I could accept the argument we have a caste system that gives “privilege” (I prefer the term advantage) to certain upper class individuals. Upper class individuals tend to be white, which is a function of non-white folks (mainly black people) being systematically wronged by our government for so many generations.

That is the definition of “white privilege”.
I reject the name on the premise that rich non-whites don’t have advantages as well.
There are social advantages that come with having and/or making money that trump skin color.
Society didn’t hand me shit, or make a single thing easier on me because I was white. I had to work just as hard as anyone that came from similar economic demographics. However, I wasn’t born poor in inner-city Baltimore. So I didn’t have the same statistically chance of being shot, or otherwise turned upside down by the failed war on drugs, or war on street crime. This isn’t privilege, it is chance.
Feeling is mutual.
I just want to nitpick a little here. I feel like governed is the wrong word. I do know what you are trying to say, so I’ll just leave it at that. Your point is valid, just the wording I’m not a huge fan of.
Sure, but a white guy in a leathers, tats and on a Harley? (Black guy too, look what they did to Allen West because he rides.) White guy in a Cowboy hat and gun rack in a pickup? Shit, these days, White guy in a suit reading the Journal anywhere near Wall St?
People judge, that is never going away. Since the dawn of civilization people have typically shunned (more-so in hard times) those different than them. This doesn’t appear to ever being going away either. The only way we will solve it is by starting to look at ourselves as American first and foremost. We are in this shit together, and it is high time we started acting like it, because the government is slowly but surely taking away our liberty, white, black and everything in=between.
It takes a long time for perception to change, social change is also dependent on time and effort. Hip hop, which is equated with black culture by and large (whether that is right worng or indifferent, it is), isn’t the same “shoot fuckers” “bitches all be hoe’s” “sell some crack” story line that a whole lot of people think of when you say rap or hip hop. (I will say women still get shit on pretty hard in that genre of music, anyway) However, as it becomes more and more main stream this is becoming more and more evident. (I would argue that hip hop is in its “hair metal” phase, like rock in the 80’s.)
Things are changing, acting like they aren’t is silly. Comparing the MArtin killing to lynching’s (you haven’t but some have) is counter productive to this change. Shit, in some ways interjecting race into the Martin case is silly, but it was bound to happen, and I guess people can’t live without swaths of people hating each other.
I look at the kids shows my daughter watches. Any one that isn’t talking animals, is as diverse as it gets. She loves Yo Gabba Gabba. Whoever wrote that show is smoking a shit ton of weed, but DJ Lance is “dabba” to her. Dora? What I’m saying is there will be an entire generation of kids that grow up with different perceptions, different views and different tastes.
Is it possible for us assholes to not fuck that up?
