Trayvon Martin Pt. 3.. The Legacy Pt. 2

I have a serious question, not at all trolling:

If the NAACP stands for “National Association for the Advancement of Colored People” that means white people can be members too? After all, isn’t white the presence of all color (on the color spectrum - can’t wait for someone to claim this was an attempt at being “the best”) and black the absence of color?

I ask this sincerely, because what would happen if there was a convening of the NAACP, and there happened to be a white member, and they brought up violation of their rights… would the rest of the group care, or simply get angry?

I don’t think they would care. And I don’t think a white person would be a member of the NAACP unless they were a hardcore liberal who thought that the white man was the devil or some shit…just my opinion I don’t really know or care about the NAACP

“You are convinced that, and aint nothing I say, nothing I preach, nothing I do, is going to convince you that George Zimmerman is not guilty. But youre wrong, and the only reason you think this way is because youre black.”

This is pretty interesting take: ItemFix - Social Video Factory

^Wow, that’s quite a clip. I’m curious how his congregation reacted to being addressed in such a manner, being told that they can’t see beyond the race issues because they’re full of hate.

I have to agree, by far one of the most interesting post this trial concerning race. They seemed to laugh and agree. Of course he had some silly ass points but his main ones were very on point.

Concerning aspects of faith, Christianity, turning of cheeks etc he is right in that dept.

Why the fish gotta be black??? Even if its half white??
Doesn’t matter what kind of black you are; your held down, submersed almost, there some white person always riding you, making you do tricks and flips, you don’t get paid enough, they took you from your mother, they…holy shit…this movie is making sense actually:

This documentary has to be terrible. it absolutely has to be. If the name, which should be the easiest thing to come up with, is screwed up so bad how can we possibly expect any competency to make a good movie? First, they’re not even fish (doi) and 2nd they’re black AND WHITE (duh).

As far as the picture of the black kid with his ASS hanging out… The first PERCEPTION (look this up and read slowly PX) of most is that he is a thug. Not that he ACTUALLY is one.

Or we could use this thread as a way to positively discuss solving race relation problems in America. It could also be better served as a thread for tweaking our gun laws so tragedys like this dont happen again. Not sure all the time we spent on the shit show that was part 2 really helped anyone. The Trayvon case is over we all know how it ended but where we go from here is whats now the important thing. Weather we like it or not this case was a giant step backwards for the USA, both on race and gun laws.
Listen Hebrewhero, I can deal with your hate whitey speech. I think you are a self hating white guy and that is ok to be. You are so scared for your little boys, cause it is a big deal that they have a black mother( at least it is to you). You seem like the type who wants it to be a big deal, you like making your life choices known and love to play the possible victim. If you raise your children right they won’t have problems with the cops. Also you post in the last thread making fun of red necks and hill billies is laughable you paragon of peace and unity. Our gun laws are just fine if you do not own a gun or have never fired a gun then you have nothing to say of meaning on the matter.

Also, Stand your ground laws had nothing to do with the Zimmerman case, the outcome was based on self-defense. Zimmerman declined to have stand your ground proceedings when the trial began. Once again the liberals using emotion to attack gun laws, probably the whole agenda since this thing started.

on edge: hilarious. It actually looks like a good doc, fucking crazy stories with insane footage. I still haven’t recovered from free willy, so I may or may not see this.

WW3General, I understand what you are trying to do, but its a fruitless labor.

I do however see the President using the situation and his recent comments to further the gun restriction agenda. Have to capitalize on the bad after all.

The president needs to leave gun control alone. If he didn’t find that out the first run, he is an idiot… oh wait…

Yep.

Sadly the agenda will continue to be pushed until we’re all like Detroit. Strictest gun rules, no one can have them but those obtained illegally, THEN we’ll be safe. Follow that by no jobs and the political correctness crowd going full steam, that’s a trifecta of pain for average America.

If that America comes, I will be dead. Because they will have to kill me to take our make my weapons illegal. And a lot more too.

I would have rather made my stand and die for the America I believe in than live in a shithole controlled by dickheads.

At least gun companies can thank Obama for selling more guns then anyone else.

True and the majority of them were bought by Caucasians. Must be racis’! Knaw sayin’?

I know we have gone way past what the original thread was about but this is a pretty amazing write up by Romany Malco (he was hilarious in 40 Year Old Virgin)
http://www.eurweb.com/2013/07/romany-malco-pens-message-to-trayvon-sympathizers/

Here are a couple excerpts from his post but it is WELL worth reading no matter what your feelings on the situation are.

I believe we lost that trial for Trayvon long before he was killed. Trayvon was doomed the moment ignorance became synonymous with young black America . We lost that case by using media outlets (music, movies, social media, etc.) as vehicles to perpetuate the same negative images and social issues that destroyed the black community in the first place. When we went on record glorifying violent crime and when we voted for a president we never thought to hold accountable. When we signed on to do reality shows that fed into the media’s stereotypes of black men, we ingrained an image of Trayvon Martin so overwhelming that who he actually may have been didn’t matter anymore.

and

If we really wanted to ensure Trayvon Martin’s killing was not in vain, we’d stop perpetuating negative images that are now synonymous with black men in America. We’d stop rapping about selling drugs and killing niggas. The next time we saw a man beating a woman, we’d call for help or break it up, but one thing we would not do is stand by with our cellphones out 'yelling WORLDSTAR! Instead of rewarding kids for memorization, we’d reward them for independent and critical thinking."

I definitely LOL’ed at the WORLSTAR part

Well, I guess he will be losing thousands of fans and labeled as an “anti-black” or whatever they call traitors.

Solid post though, and yes, he was hilarious. Especially when he got in a fight with the guy about the stereo, “Aim high Willis, aim high!!!”

It’s not about the butthole pleasures

Lol

There are other reasons to not want to be Detroit. Gun laws are way down on the list. Gun laws didn’t make Detroit a dump.

Indeed. People can make their own life choices regarding their partner(s), but its disappointing to see someone harassing an individual for “waiting” for the right one/time. I think as long as that person can go through life happy with that decision - and many folks I know who “waited” are, that is all that matters. I’ve known more unhappy people who were “frivolous” in their younger days than not, but that’s a poor reference point as more people nowadays sow their wild oats before marriage.

I’m also an engineer and took offense to that. I’ve had the same girlfriend for the past 6.5 years, so I guess that disqualifies my input on being happy about my personal life and being unable to provide input.

Resounding situation for both race, sexual activity, etc. is - Close-minded is close-minded.

Anywho, back to the proverbial storm. I boarded up my windows in preparation!
It was a joke sheesh, but why would I expect an engineer to get a joke?

Simmer down I’m just busting your balls. Having dealt with engineers for the last thirty years I can say that many of the stereotypes are dead on, with a few exceptions of course.

Congratulations on your finding a worthwhile relationship.
