Don’t expect a non-Engineer to think rationally. It’s the reason we are never considered for jury duty.

just get back to the FEA and make sure that you don’t have more than a 10% jump in the VonMises stresses between elements.
Exhibit A. Didn’t you finally get laid like last year?
NOPE

reveal a little about yourself?

or maybe not peter rabbit, go back in your hole.

“I’m not a bum, i’m wearing million dollar cologne you idiot!”

What does that even mean? Okay, maybe it was two years ago but I distinctly recall you crowing about waiting into your twenties and now you had the woman of your dreams. The point is you don’t have much experience to be handing out advice. Oh thats right, you are an engineer, they know everything.

Edited: "I was a virgin when I first started reading that thread and then lost it shortly after (thank you AC and some others that I can’t remember), coincidence? Maybe

First kiss: 21
Lost virginity: 22
Now: 25 and my gf is moving in with me in 3 weeks"

“you think i’m a slut?! I’m a straight A student that goes to Harvard! Shame on you!!”

Edit: If you’re truly worried about cops shooting your kid(s) just for being black/brown, maybe you should consider moving to a new/better area? Get out of dodge of wherever this inherent intense profiling exists.
You mean America? It really is astounding that people don’t get it that a parent shouldn’t have to teach their son to be fearful of the police.
Anyone that thinks they won’t get their world fucked up by a dirty cop because they are white is a complete moron.
Good post…and with that, anyone who thinks everyone should move because cops profile blacks based on color alone which leads to these negative actions is the same.

I think the black communities are smart to be weary of the police, particularly in urban areas. I think white communities would be smart to be the same way.

But they aren’t…because they don’t have to be.

That is why so many see calling the cops as “the safe call to make” in all situations.

You seem to be arguing that perception is “constant”.

It isn’t.

But then, I am not sure what you are arguing exactly so maybe you can be more clear.

Please explain why the picture you posted equals SLUT.

“Oh I know you didn’t just call me a thug!! What gave you that impression?”

“… I’m wearing million dollar cologne you idiot!!”

I asked you before and I will ask again…what in this picture says THUG???

Seriously. Most of the black guys I have seen walk by my office today were dressed like that.

They were all THUGS???

Who knew?

WTF?

These comments seem very racist and sexist.

No joke.

It is sad it is being allowed like it is right.

I am now wondering if a white guy dressed exactly the same as the above is a THUG also.

Uh, yes he would be perceived that way. It has everything to do with dress and nothing to do with skin color. You are making it about skin color.

By whom?

Notice how it is being stated that the picture above is what a THUG looks like…when this style is so common I would guess that I will see about 50 more guys dressed like this before i go to sleep tonight in Houston.

The person who really thinks like this is very culturally unaware.

I am amazed this has to be explained and that people are literally ganging up to say otherwise.

Question:

once again, I am now asking the people who can carry on a discussion without the insults and attacks.

What makes this man a THUG?

Wasn’t there a time when tattoos were considered a “thug” look? Especially neck and face ones? Now they’re just a sign of conformity and poor decision making.

Oh boy, Shit just got even realer:

The whole LEO conversation in itself could be its own thread.

I’m not inviting the cops to my house unless I have to, I’m not inviting them into my life unless I have to.

I have a strange (and have been repeatedly told stupid) notion that the only time you can trust LEO is in an “end of days” the government has fallen and they will use the militarization equipment to help the citizens fight the oppressive government.

And that is because one on one, they have seen enough shaddy shit where they aren’t going to trust you, me or anyone. I’ve never had a problem because I’ve kissed every inch of every LEO ass I’ve ever come in contact with.

I have had many problems with this “profiling” issue especially when younger. Not so much now.

That is why I know that calling the cops can ESCALATE the situation which is all bad all the way around.

After pages of complaining about stereotypes and bigoted opinions, you just could resist playing the part right?

But it’s cool because you’re profiling a white kid?
