Travel and Training

Later this month, I will be traveling abroad. One week in each location:

Tokyo
Singapore

return home, then Brazil, return home, then London…and another week in Atlanta.

I can’t even imagine traveling and training. Anyone have suggestions for nutrition and workouts when traveling?

I’ll also take tips for each location.
I have traveled before, but not abroad, and not while trying to stay healthy.

Thanks

I lived in Sao Paulo Brazil fo two years. There are some good gyms in the city, but it depends on where you go. I usually use a bodyweight program while travelling if a gym is not available. I belive it was Ian King who wrote an article here called “Death by Bodyweight.” I apologize to the author if it was not Ian King.

Bottled water–and LOTS of it.

I don’t know how much you travel, but the bodyweight thing is good, hit a gym if you can, run some sprints, but make damn sure you enjoy the areas as much as your work allows.

It won’t take much to get it back, especially if you are really good about your diet.

Thanks for the tips. I found the article:

Luckily, my companies travel policy states that if the hotel doesn’t have an exercise equipment room, then they will pay for a day pass.

This should be an interesting experience. I guess there’s no way to plan a training program until I get there.

Have any tips for Sau Paulo? Good places to eat, clubbing, etc?
