While no one cares about swimming (former swimmer), they are probably on at least a partial scholarship to an Ivy League school. That’s a big stand for a 20 year old to be forced to make, while getting little support from the ‘adults’ that have chosen to stand down against the obvious evil intention of any and everyone associated with the woke movement.
CEOs, political leaders, religionists and pundits of every rank have meekly knelt in submission. Men and women need to be leading this fight, not youth.
They sell these at the autozone down the road from me. I just use it so I don’t make a mess putting oil in the car. Pretty versatile device.
I don’t think this thing will catch on though. Mostly because you have to take it with you after you piss in it. Gross.

lol… Sorry. I didn’t mean to come off angry. I just think it’s ridiculous for ‘everyone’ to get involved in women’s sport when the women in those sports don’t. I say let it collapse, unless they stand up for themselves, then I will stand beside them.
I don’t know how to put it in such a way that I don’t sound pissed off about it. I am not that bent out of shape.
You make a good point. I just don’t think I should put my nose out of joint on their behalf if they won’t even help themselves.
If those involved in women’s sports aren’t put off by it, enough to stand up to it, I see no need to dive in and try to save women’s sports. But yes, adults, their parents, their coaches need to get skin in the game, rather than hoping someone else not related fights for them on their behalf. And honestly, I don’t care if women’s sports get destroyed. I don’t care about women’s sports as a fan, so if it goes away I won’t notice.

I have more sympathy for them. It might be easier for those of us who are older and established in our careers to feel comfortable saying controversial things, but these young people know that speaking truth to woke power can jeopardize their futures. The last thing they want when applying for jobs or professional schools is some contrived “discipline” for pointing out that the emperor is naked. Look at the most recent controversy at Yale Law School, where the administration tried to bully a student into apologizing for non-existent racism by saying that failing to do so could hurt his legal career.
“Nice future you got there, kid. Be a shame if anything happened to it.”
Young people need our help in standing up to woke authoritarianism. We should help where we can.

I get that. But if they don’t stand up, there will be no career to strive for. And I am really more agitated with the “adults” who are not standing up for them either. Sure you have to pick your battles, I understand that. But in this case, the battle is for the sport itself, not their place in it. If they stay silent or just bitch anonymously, they will just be dominated by asshole tranny’s who claim ‘womanhood’ to dominate in a sport they cannot compete in at their own real level.
So if they want this dude to kick their ass up and down the swimming pool and destroy every record obtainable, then they should keep doing what they are doing.
I see it and Yale is a cesspool. He should move to a decent law school, probably. And the difference here is the institution of ‘law’ isn’t being threatened, just the student. With the swimmers, women’s swimming is being threatened to destruction.
Further, what about the young, good female swimmers who are not old enough to compete yet? Are they going to bother to pursue their dreams if some dude can walk in, claim he is a woman and destroy them all? And if they ban together, they are a much bigger force.
And where are the feminists on this? They somehow don’t seem to care that a man can walk in and claim he is a woman and then destroy women’s sports? I guess not.
They get called TERFs (Trans exclusionary radical feminists) and are often subjected to negative responses ranging from claims of discrimination, to exclusion from professional opportunities, to threats of violence.

Yes, that’s where many self-styled “feminists” are today. Biological men who threaten women with violence are the “progressives,” while men who think it’s kind of a bad thing for men to threaten women are transphobes.
And so they have no stake in speaking up because they are cowards? Is that what I am to glean from that?
The kids who have any voice against progressiveness get cancelled, kicked out of school, lose friends, and have trouble obtaining a real career. I don’t know how old you are, but I think you have a disconnect with the last few generations (who doesn’t though?).
YES, they need to stand up for themselves, but as the current generations’ trailblazers - we ought to help them along the way too. You cant complain about everything going on, but choose to only stand up for what’s right when it affects you.

No, you just hear about those kids… Usually because they are being loud assholes about it, and their parents are likewise loud attention seeking assholes who get media involved. Think the Pat’s of the world.
You’re right, they should quietly and peacefully debate this unfairness - outside the view of the media as BLM has done.

I am well aware of the social ramifications, but the choice is to let these maniacs run roughshod over you. So what choice does one have any more? Tolerance and compliance led us to this place. Not wanting to rock the boat and all that shit… Well here we are. So either we fight back and bitch, moan and complain loudly, or we get absorbed into the cult.
I am not suggesting you don’t pick your battles, but at some point you have to engage.
And as for friends, do you really need a friend that will not accept you as you are? I would say those aren’t real friends anyway, so no love lost there.
