Training Younger Kids

Hi coach. My son recently started playing tackle football and he’s turning 13 next month. Our goal for next season is for him to become faster, more explosive and powerful.
I’ve read a thread in your column here regarding sport specific training and one on your Thib Army site. I have enough experience under my belt (almost 50yrs) to train adults but I’m still not sure if this all applies to a 13 yr old or if there’s precautions I should take.
Can you please help me out and just point me in the right direction.
On a side note my daughter who also turns 13 has taken an extreme liking to bodybuilding unbeknownst to me until I found her working out in our garage lol.
She is extremely lean and wirey but she’s also pretty strong and executes her exercises perfectly before I even had the opportunity to teach her. Her goal is mass and appearance. Should I train her like a typical bodybuilder even though she’s a 13 yr old female. Thanks so much
