You talk about powerlifting and bodybuilding a lot, do you intend to compete in either of these sports?
I got 10 posts into this and figured it’s another of those.

OP, I’m another one that hit my first 400lbs squat just copying the monthly workouts out of Muscle and Fitness.
I feel like you got quite a bit of this, you just didn’t really like it?
Im sure eventually… i mean he has zero concern regarding one of the main lifts. Plus he takes this so seriously that hes coming on here wanting free info.
No offense to anyone here. I would look around for a established coach in real life who would 1 . Evaluated my form in real time and adjust on the spot 2nd evaluate given program and give input or modification.
For sure. There’s also the added benefit of the investment: you’re more likely to dive deep into coaching for which you’ve paid.
I mean a forum like this is a good way to get opinions or so forth or get new ideas to try.
But i still feel you cant beat being with someone face to face and more hands on.
Absolutely. I totally agree with your point
how can i contact them and why will it work for me or any other average joe
well hey everybody can get bigger and stronger and better for them some way some how right it is the process the journey that matters and how you got there … that is the is the fun … especially for people who are not meeting their standards or their powerlifting potential
yeah true from the grading point of it but remember progressive overload is everything for naturals born weak and skinny like most of us…and the better your strength the better your size potential will be dont forget they are complementary no matter what right?
no, im just a gym lifter not a uspl or a uspa or a ifbb remember those organizations are stupid the whole point of doing that is to get the money and social adn pro card and female lay benefits and meet other people better than you and smarter than you and that also think like you and train like you and knows what you know etc… but who you are and what you can do matters first and foremost, so you could say im just a barbell enthusiat and a gym lifter
nah im just feeling like im doing something wrong my current workouts arent working to get me stronger even when i never miss a training session…training gets boring when you dont get bigger or stronger right
im already doing that… i cant find one !!!it is hard to find some body that can you tell something just for you that actually works best
I never argued against progressive overload, but the debate was over Strength standards and their relevance for muscle growth
zero concern? you dont think squat deadlifts do more you than you think? the best bench pressers in the world like stan efferding he hit 600 on the bench press he can squat 850+ and deadlift 850… you dont think that helped him ? what about kirill sarychev the 6’6" russian powerlifter doing 740? you dont think his 900+ squats and 900+ deadlifts outside of powerlifting numbers chasing and total chasing for competition helped him ? lets not get started with julius maddox … he is sitting at 800 lbs still until we hear he breaks it … he can squat 700 + and deadlift 700+ i think he tells his clients to train those stadnards too… you went get the out of muscle goals and your powerlifitng bench pres goals without stimulating all your cns and myofibirally hypertorphy and range of motion and compoudns muscles like barbell squatting and deadlifting does irght ? or am i msissing something ?
not everybody has access to that in person not everybody even lifts or knows how to lift
good strength standards first nets you more muscle growth next who builds a bigger and arms and overal physique and anabolic filled natty? the guy deadlifting 600 + or the guy deadlifting 500+?
the good news is you dont need to be elite lifter bad news is we should be strong enough …think the numbers im aiming for and stalling on
this guy and any wheel chair powerlifter have obvious freak outliers if you or I got in a wheel chair we probably wouldnt be able to ever train to that … his disability is more auspiciios for him there than it would be for the typical guy …outliers cant really be comparable to teh average guy think the bell curve
