Training went well today, decided to do some heavy raw stuff, the 230 was surprisingly not too bad, probably had another 10kg in the tank, which is definitely up. Bench and Deads were easy, my raw deadlift feels amazing, probably going to pull raw at the meet, definitely something 300+ there

Drove back from Calgary (3ish hour drive) last night at 2am, got back at 5:30am, and was training at 10am, quite tired coming into this workout and really didn’t want to deadlift when it came around, but it turned out to be a pretty good day, I definitely feel stronger than this though. I took the straps out on my DL suit, they are literally falling off of my shoulders now, so it’s similar to pulling in bottoms, time to get out of this deadlift funk I’ve been in for the last year in competition

That was fun and random, I can’t wait to do a bit more OL and front squats after this meet, I really enjoy the variety and different skill set than powerlifting.
With the meet 2 weeks away, I’ll be scaling these light bench days way back (not that they are that intense) the assistance will be dropped down to bodyweight movements, and the benching will be very light weight, 50-60% for 3-5 reps, basically just a going through the motions workout. I’m feeling great, about 6lbs to drop which is no problem this far out

Had to skip deadlifts, was short on time, having to move
everything was easy, the squats were about parallel, felt like vomiting with the straps up and tight belt on, note to self, don’t eat muffins right before heavy squats, literally, eating a muffin with my suit on

Good day, that’ll be last deadlift of any kind before the meet, I may play with 100kg just to “grease the groove” or whatever the saying is. Squats felt good, felt like I could do a solid 8 reps with the 200kg raw, which would be a 4 rep PR. I plan to do a raw meet this summer, and would love to hit a 240kg+ squat at 82kg
Last suited squat this Sunday then good to go for next weekend, I’ll just work up to opener to make sure I can sink it no problem, probably opening around 280kg
I believe the saying you’re thinking of is “when in Rome…”. Also, Court, my chronic vaginitis did not flair up “again”, that was the first time, I’ve had 2-3 re-occurrences since.

Sorry to hear about the vaginitis. It’s pretty difficult to treat. If you don’t kill it now it will haunt you for the rest of your life. Assuming you’re a Jr lifter? That’s all ED hangs out with, so it would make sense
