Big mistake of making a big jump what would be a 10lb all time pr should have just hit 245 and been happy. all the misses were so damn close… Need to keep hammering the triceps. If I can get flipshare to work I’ll put up a video tomorrow, its funny.
I felt like I got hit by a truck after this, rookie mistake of failing multiple ME lifts will do that. I called it
My little brother showed up later and said he wanted to test his deadlift, now he is all of about 145lbs and never trains. He probably hasn’t deadlifted in 6 months and the most he has ever done is 255.
he EASILY got 335 and even double over hand griped 315.
He has so much room to grow it ain’t funny. Very proud of him, If I get him to train consistently he will get 405 in a matter of weeks.
Great job on the DL and “yoke walk” (which I’m assuming is like a Farmer’s walk?" PR, the improvement on the power stairs and congrats to your brother!
Thanks that dl felt great but really killed my training for the next few days. Needed to recover Yoke is like a farmers walk but the weight is on your back
Mate, wicked stuff ! I really enjoy your log, we are the same sort of body type, and I am always interested in seeing what others are up too ! You are killing it ! Does the suit let you lift that much more?

Thanks man, good to hear someone reads this stuff. I’ve seen your log and or front squat is about the same so by same body type you must mean short with legs that make you waddle everywhere haha.
A real tight deadlift suit will give you some serious pop out of the bottom. Can add up to 60lbs if your weakness is off the floor. Mine is real loose since I dropped weight I feel it give a little off the floor i’d say no more then 15-25lbs of assistance, I plan to get it tailored to add velcro straps so I can crank it down and get some big assitance. I am real confident I could hit 505x3 without it, all my max pulls have been without a suit in the past. I just wanted every advantage possible as I did it as a challenge with a friend.
"by same body type you must mean short with legs that make you waddle everywhere haha. "
That’s spot on!
I knew they helped, but thats a lot of pop. I have never used one, or a belt, so i am just curious on numbers.
I try and do a lot of hip work and running to ease up on the waddling.

it does help, I try to rarely use it, and never would use one if I didn’t compete. If it is allowed in a comp why be at a disadvantage?
My boss (she) this morning said “you been lifting weights?” my reply “I do some of that” realized after I said it how much of an ass I sounded like, haha
Needed to work up to something heavy. Power lifting meet in 4 weeks

225x3
285x5

455xmiss very close, knee wraps threw me off a bit I got the strength.
some hanging leg raises and Stiff leg dumb bell deadlifts
I think this week I have been on a mission to destroy my CNS. Mission accomplished I will hit one more upper body day then take the rest of the week off. Have a plan for my training till the powerlifting meet. Will put strongman events on the back burner for now.
f it is allowed in a comp why be at a disadvantage?
Absolutely !
I am a huge fan of the epsom salts bath…also the baking soda bath, 1/2 a box in warm water, minimum 15 minutes to release the mercury and other heavy metals from the skin, although i have read that 2 cups of both epsom salts and baking soda have been recommended…if you care. haha

Actually first time I ever tried it, felt good. I’ll give the baking soda a try thanks for the info.
12/11/10 Deadlift
Stayed up till 3am watching Alistair Overeem obliterate in K1 it really was awesome. Despite this felt decent and it being pretty damn warm out for December, just sweating like crazy.
Deadlift
135x5
225x5
315x5
335x5
405x5
strizapz
455x5 BLAH didn’t feel 100% for this, think I was stupid and had my grip off. plats were not hitting the ground at the same time. This was an ALL OUT not long ago, its an easy lift an off day now with imporoper setup so cool.
455x1 no straps, yes grip is not a problem
Log Press
My Whole back, abs and hamstrings are just dead from the training this week and particularly deadlifts yesterday. Thought I was going to take the day off but why would I do that?
12" Log C&P
95xsome
155x5
175x5
200x8
really should have had 10, probably should have pushed for it, I need to remember to pause for a second at the top even if the first few reps feel easy so I don’t run out of gas.
Super Set
A1) Axle strict OH Press
123 3x10
A2) BB Row
185 3x10
Hammer curls
55s 3x8
DB front and side raises
Band face pulls
about 45 minutes of hiking. The start is up a very steep hill, running up it is easier I’ll do that for now on.
