My mind wants to get back into training hard but my body does not
Axle Clean & Press, havent done this in awhile and i hate it so what the hell?
Worked up to a single of 235lbs. Not bad the clean SUCKS. Must weight ive done on the axle in along time so I’ll take it. Damn need to put a ton of work into my axle clean
Tried to do some squats but wow do i ache
did some db shoulder presses and an ab circuit of
Roll outs 3x12
Standing ab band pulldowns 3x12
Medicine ball slams 25lb ball 3x12
I guess I should rest up cause I am competing in a Highland games Saturday…
I got a 1’10" pr on 22lb stone
tied my pr of 30ft on the 16lb stone (two comps in a row i hit 30’ on the dot)
Think i got pr’s on both hammer events but I am still AWFUL at the hammer Just awful
hit 10’ on weight over bar which ties a pr missed 11’
Just missed 20’ on the sheaf which would have been a huge 4’ pr (they opened at 20’)
Had nothing for the cabers, I crashed hard during the sheaf and just took a nap on the field. It kinda aggravated my bicep tendons as well that’s why on the caber u see I didn’t really give much effort when I tried to pick it.

Thanks they are a ton of fun. I was still real worn out from my strongman comp the week before and accidentally ingested about 1,100 mg of caffeine by 1pm and just crashed HARD at 4. Sad I am not sure I will be able to do the next one as I will be doing a strongman comp two weeks later so that is an important training day

lol no my pre workout supp is 250mg per serving and i meant to take 1 scoop in the morning and 1 scoop after lunch but i ended up taking 2 scoops both times… it was FUN for a few hours

KMC, thanks man, it really works. Overloading the shoulders and triceps they have responded well.
455x10 is good but you’d be surprised what some guys in strongman are pulling… If I don’t at least sniff 600 this year I will be disappointed.

felt pretty damn good despite my legs being jello Thought about going for 365 but not gonna be greedy first week back to real squatting in awhile. Maybe next week
OH squats was the plan but my shoulders are so sore and tight from pressing 2 out of 3 days.
so 4 days straight of hard lifting but I feel fantastic prolly cause I’ve been eating about 5k calories a day tomorrow off. Then HARD HARD event training Saturday prepping for Brian Shaw’s show
