all dogs seem small after having my 155lb Mastiff. She was about a 1/3rd his size but is already getting bigger from all the food and exercise soon to be 1/2 his size :slight_smile:

haha I was using some .5lb plates i got for the 1lb pr hehe

thanks. I haven’t done them in awhile and am not very good but if i am focusing on highland games i will be doing a lot more explosive and olympic movements

610 yoke walk for 50ft i just hated every step. then it started pouring and was so damn cold the tacky would just not get warm

lots of standing throws with shot put technique is improving big time…
stones are going far this year!

did some light weight for distance this sucked i hate this event

did weight over bar got 10’ with the 56lb which is a pr and 12’ with the 42 also a pr

then some 14lb hammer throws, technique work. great day of throwing! think this year I will focus on highland games this year. Next comp is April 2nd

this is my first significant pr on the log press in about 2 years. first time I have surpassed a log press pr when I was 30lbs heavier. It feels like the beginning too.

Took dogs for some hill sprints/hike for about an hour, they almost caught a turkey haha

week 8 of coan/phillipi I failed 525 deadlift… I think my core is weak I threw straps and my suit on and got 545 i got 545 out of the cycle but I had to cheat to get it 3xbw deadlift I might do it next week and remember to video it.

I got a little pissed at my training but it is all turning around and I will start logging again! Videos while I was gone

Clay Edgin is back in California and drove out to my house which is pretty damn deep in the country so you know he is serious about training again.

Well I didn’t lift it so I can’t either :slight_smile: well I can imagine lifting it. when they get that big they are a bigger diameter and it throws me off. I need to make a light as I can 20" stone to get the movement down.

Went and ate brunch at my new favorite place. It is a drive but worth it. They put out a big plate of fresh organic strawberries when you sat down then I ordered Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and they give you two silver dollar blueberry pancakes with more strawberries for free… All for 10 bucks! Of course everyone is full so I ended up eating 8 pancakes haha, good for my bulk!

Then I went to do highland throwing

Worked on Stone throws with a light stone And following through with a spin at the end. This will give me a few more feet if I get it down and really brining my left hand through to give me some more power.

Then hammer, working on a new grip

Did weight over bar with a tree branch that was about 18’ with the 28# to warm up for fun then a few at about 10’ with the 56.

More hammer little heavier

Some heavy weight for distance with the 56# this just sucks…

some light weight for distance with the 28#

Threw the heavier stone which is above contest weights at 26.5

some lighter stone…
