Hi Fischer. I’m new here to +35. Just caught up on the last couple pages on your log. Great to see you are doing so well after such serious injuries. I’m looking forward to following your recovery.
@DJS thanks man.
Ok got to vent here or ramble.
WTF is this on the main page with that injury prevention guy telling us how to get real big and strong…seriously folks if you believe you can do those timed - with those(90sec) intervals and with any kind of respectable weight(80% +) I have a bridge for you over swamp land at a good price.
Author dosen’t tell the whole story of why or how to ramp up the intensity over weeks not fucking sets in one training session.
I train this way alot, cuz it works but it hurts alot!
Look up Litinov a shot putter that Dan John wrote about.
The best PT I ever had was a big dude.
Your kids are awesome. Best of luck with the recovery.
Foam roll and Kbell class tonight. Good fun for tomorrow.
My little girl has orientation day tomorrow for Kindergarten ----WOW time flies!!!
Good to see you back at it, and hope you stay pain free.
Your kids look cute, and you’re looking hyooge.
deadlifts 8x3 @ 315 easy and fast no belt .
standing ohp front 135x5x5
barbell curls 95x5x5
Great day felt good and energetic. will go up next week on the deads to 335 no belt and up the reps on the secondary exercises.
boot camp class tonight— so that means complexes!!!
A bodyweight complex goes like this 1 sqaut 1 push up 1 mountain climber 2 sqauts 2 push ups 2 mountain climbers up to 10. for you math challenged thats 55 reps on each exercise no rest.
Sled complex - sprint sled+45lbs (total is 90) a basketball court 10 50lb double-handed kb swings-sprint sled back 10 50lb double handed swings-sprint 1/2 court and back , get back in rotation. We usually rotate 5 people through this until 2 people can’t make the rounds-----pure evil. LOL
Rick
Feeling good no pain!!!
Are you talking about the Waterbury article? That guys seems to know some stuff but he has a hard on for anything that doesn’t lead to size. It’s like he’s afraid his affliction tees will be too small.
Glad to see you back.
Gotta try complexes sometime. I would need someone standing nearby with a whip because I hate that shit. But it would be good for me.
Complexes suck balls.
They work.
Dammit.

No I like Waterbury actually he is pretty sound on alot of stuff, it is that pencil neck injury dude talking sprints and sqauts and how to program them. Please be able to shave before posting articles here.

Now not to nitpik but what I wrote is a little harder than normal complexes by a fair amount. With normal complexes it is usually a light weight never put down going through a series of exercises some easier some harder—this is plain brutal.
Complexes are good if done real heavy, anerobic-conditioning utilizing different forms of resistance and planes of movement are just awesome whatever your method of madness be!

Thank you. Tomorrow is a “test” day so it is going to be fun.
Bench press off pins
275x3 8 sets last easy 5 all paused 2 seconds
partial sqaut off of pins 135x5,225x5,315x5,405x5,455x5 (belt->),495x5,585x8 Felt great-had more
Rack pulls(mid knee) 135x5,225x5,315x5,405x5(belt->) 455x5, 495x5
Sqauting and pulling felt great no pain in lower back when I applied some pressure and strained on the partials on sqauts.
Felt real good doing all three lifts or variations of them in 1 day and to have no discomfort and now building confidence so when you have to really grind the bar and it is slow moving no fear of BAM there goes my disc flying across the room LOL-sorta.
Well it is stair sprints this weekend and bike riding as well. Pin sqauts on monday
Lift Strong
Rick

Thanks Pete.
Stair sprints 7 sets of 2 flights of stairs counting sprinting up taking 2 stairs a time going up and fast stepping stairs going down get back in line 4 person rotation-- It is really some kind of funny when you see 4 large guys lying on their backs at the bottom of set of stairs outside a parking garage in the grass gasping like fish out of water.
Bw:234 WTF I am really loading the protein and food but fuck it I am getting strong again!
234…you’re a light weight. You most likely have abs and veins showing in your arms. Great work Mr Rick. And the kids look cute. Just like their mom.

Chest supported t-bat rows elbows out 3platesx5 for 6 sets
CGB 225x5 for 6 sets (paused)

Those are some HUGE squat and rack pull numbers man and you look in excellent shape in your avi, can’t believe you’re lifting so much so soon after your back troubles.
I guess you can’t keep a good man down.
Great work.
