Like this?
Or maybe like this?
hahahaha I laughed my ass off with the first one
haha. shame we can’t train together lordstorm. we could slap each other lolz.
I train alone (in my garage) because I live in a country where I don’t speak the native language. It’s an ex-communist country (was ruled by Russia until 1989) - the Czech Republic. It’s quite annoying because Im surrounded by eastern-Germany, Poland, Russia, eastern europe (the Baltic states) - the interest and talent is huge. I was a member of an old-school - ex-commy gym, basically a massive theatre built during the austro-hungarian period which now houses a gymnastics gym (in the big main hall), with a weightlifting room underground, like a dungeon. There were some strong guys in there, one who was particularly impressive, but I never felt comfortable in there. Once my Czech is at a conversational level, I will go back and seek coaching. It might seem like you can just speak English anywhere in the world, and someone will try and help you, but come to the ex-communist states (outside the capital cities) and you’ll find that that isnt true! And even moreso, you can feel very uncomfortable at times.

Same here. Ive only ever trained alone(the times Ive had partners to train with I could count on one hand). Progress and strength come from somewhere inside of YOU. If you find that strength comes out easier with others whooping and cheering for you, enjoy it. Just make sure you train with others because you WANT to, not because you think you NEED them.
I pretty much exclusively train at non ‘lifestyle’ gyms. When I say ‘lifestyle’ gym I mean gyms without oly bars, oly plates and suitable flooring to drop weights on to. Doesn’t have to be a platform but matted so I can drop my weights.
I only train with people about but I’m lucky in that I can train at 2 Oly places within 10mins from. I’ve trained at
Woking -club gym
Surry Sports Park - 6 platforms - so so ones, Eleiko bars, random bumpers
St Mary’s they had 4 platforms but they have a new facility with 6 platforms I believe, not been to the new one yet
Brunel Uni - 4 platforms
Cambridge gym - 4 or 5 platforms, bumpers plates
EA - San Fran - fully kitted out Eleiko place
wow, 6 different oly places I’ve trained at this year…
Just train at an Oly club and you don’t get randoms about.
