Train Body Part 2x Plus Weekly

Hi everyone

Has anybody gotten more hypertrophy or strengh from training a bodypart more than 1x week say 4x weekly like Waterbury suggested in his QD program.

It could be just my nutrition but i seem to actually grow larger from training a muscle once per week but nowaday the theme is to train a bodypart 2x a week minumum. As Waterbury said once, the more u can train a muscle in the week (different parameters) the more hypertrophy will occur.

So what is everybody experience with 2x up to 4x training bodyparts weekly?

Peace

3-4 times a week seems to work for me.

I’ve had some success with multiple days per week training, but I keep these cycles very short. 3 possibly 4 weeks max, and then back off for a week.
Short term growth results are good though as a shock.

Most good OLers squat work all their lifts and the squat no less than three times a week. I follow suit.

HHH…I am using a modified HIT routine (MWF) full body workouts about 10-12 exercises, and I really like it. Before, I was hitting a bodypart once a week and not making a lot of inroads into my strength or size (well I was, but then it seemed as if my progress slowed). I have noticed that by working each bodypart more often I am also able to get my CNS ready for heavier lifts. It may be all in my head but after lifting X amount of weight for three times in one week I feel more capable of increasing the amount of weight the next week or the week thereafter. Of course, there is something to be said for switching up reps, sets, exercises, and entire workout programs so I think changing it up every now and then regardless of what program it is can be beneficial. Peace…

If you are seeing gains by working out 4 times a week (which is miraculous), keep doing whatever you’re doing.
