I’m looking at doing some new training types and have completed many of Chad Waterbury’s workouts over the past couple of years and have shown significant gains.
Now, I’m back in school instead of working and have an abundance of time on my hands so I’m able to get to the gym 4-5 days per week. Instead of doing isolation moves, I’ve begun doing compound exercises and a lot of olympic lifts. I’ve already begun to show some gains but haven’t had a structured program for total body that many times per week and I can’t find anything within articles on this site that support that as being a good idea.
If you’re really doing a full body workout, 5 days a week is definitely too much and 4 probably is. When exactly will you recover? Like someone else said, if you have 4-5 days and plenty of time, I think you’d be better off doing a split routine.
