They’re not actually new. They’re old drugs that were developed under the pretence of curing medical ailments, but were scrapped in light of presumably more tolerable/suitable candidates. “Epistane” as we know it is the c17 alpha alkylated derivative of epitiostanol, an antineoplastic agent marketed in Japan.
These compounds made it through as they weren’t officially added to the list of controlled substances when AAS were scheduled.
All anabolic steroids do when administered in supra therapeutic dosages. Some are more toxic than others (cough… tren… cough cough), but none are “safe” from a cardiovascular standpoint.
It’s like smoking tobacco. One cigarette is somewhat safer than twenty, but there’s no “safe” level of tobacco exposure.
I asked a question and you answered with facts and data, so of course I owe to myself and to you to read it, otherwise, what’s the point of asking the question? It seems that too often on here (at least in pharma) individuals only want affirmation of what they have planned, but they do not want the facts if it refutes whatever ideals they have. Denying the facts and ignoring the advice given is a disservice to everyone by wasting time with posts.
My point is this: Thanks for your help. I’ll never be the one to argue, without logic or reason, against the great info and advice on here.
Agree for most guys a dose of 50-70 mg/week will work to keep Total T within the normal physiological range. However, in my humble opinion, Total T is a worthless lab especially for older guys (who need TRT the most) because our SHBG increases with age. Then there’s a subgroup of guys (myself included) who just genetically have high SHBG.
SHBG strongly binds T and prevents it from passing through the blood-brain barrier. So, even if Total T is in the “normal” range, Free T (the stuff that actually enters the brain) can still be abysmal. For example, when I started TRT 8+ years ago, I had a Total T 618 ng/dL, which was pretty good for a 55 year old guy (my age at the time). However, my Free T was an abysmal 7.1 pg/mL. My SHBG was high at the time (~70 nmol/L) and is much higher now (in the 80-90 range). Looking at the graph I posted earlier, a dose of 70 mg/week (in an E3D protocol) will get me a Free T of around 17 pg/mL, which is OK, but nowhere near optimal. I may be functional at work, and I definitely feel better than no TRT, but I still feel low T symptoms at that dose.
I’ve made some interesting observation this past 2 years regarding RBC production. When I control DHT levels with finasteride so that my DHT is about mid-range of normal, my hemoglobin levels tend to be more stable and within range when I go to donate blood. This is even after taking a finasteride vacation every time I donate (you have to off it for 4 weeks). Yes, I know finasteride is an evil word to some folks in this forum, but when combined with TRT in reasonable doses, the benefit outweighs the risk in my opinion.
I was just curious if anyone uses nandrolone with the trt through defy. I have a rotator cuff injury from like 8 years ago that was never treated I just let it heal badly on its own that was wondering that would have any benefit or if it’s just for post-surgery recovery. I didn’t want to pay the consult fee just to be told it wouldn’t work
Well that’s the thing I don’t want to mask the pain I was hoping I could heal something. I can’t work out because of it. I can’t lift anything heavy above my chest without pain and I definitely can’t bench press or do those machines. Going to work is a work out and keeps me fit but I’m limited because of my range of motion and pain. I just worry whatever it is will completely snap or rip one day. Its been like this for close to a decade. When it happened I couldn’t use my arm for months
@jimmy401 What was the actual injury and what is the current issue? Nandrolone increases synovial fluid. You have a synovial membrane that lines the joint and produces fluid to reduce friction. So depending on your problem it could provide relief. But… its only going to provide relief while using it. If inflammation is the problem and it relieves it long enough for the inflammation to subside then maybe it could be a permanent fix. I’m just speculating. I think the more likely scenario is the one I quoted from @readalot.
I dont know what the injury is. I never went to the Drs. I tend to put things off to the extend my arm was useless and couldn’t be raised above my ribs for close to 6 months. Its definitely the rotator cuff thought
Testosterone replacement therapy not nandrolone replacement therapy. the body makes testosterone, you replace it. You don’t replace nandrolone because the body doesn’t make it .
Testosterone is a bio identical hormone the body recognizes as the bodies produced Testosterone.
Lets stop acting like its a good alternative. Diesel is a great alternative to fuel, but the damn car needs to have an diesel engine.
yea i have no plans of doing cortisone shots. Im already on a pretty high dose of methadone so I have to worry about that masking pain and causing damage
Saw you mentioned methadone. have you tried Suboxone. It’s so much better than methadone. Sublocade lasts a month and is a shot. Suboxone is buoropherine and nalaxone. Check it out.
Yeah I took suboxone.for a.couple years like a decade ago it just never worked for me even at 24mg.
I get a month of takehomes at a time so theres no inconvenience. Suboxone is a month rx at a time max and the shot is what 1 month 3 months? Methadone also cured my IBS I had until 22 when I started it. Im not in a rush to get off im on a split dose 145mg a day it would take years to taper even if i did want to. Right now the plan is to just stay on maintenance and maybe some day I will decide I want off but its already been a decade on methadone with 7 years of opiods prior to that so my brain would probably never function right again off them. Have you actually tried methadone? I see so much hate towards methadone and 99% of the time its someone who has never taken it and only know what their suboxone Dr or media has told them, and the other 1% are usually people who were non-compliant and got thrown out of a clinic so they blame methadone and the counselor
No hate. just that my research showed its so much worse for your health than suboxone. Very bad for the bones and etc. its just a harsher.
Ive had many friends who were on methadone and they had to go to the clinic daily … pain in the ass. i guess that has changed.
I just wanted to make sure you knew about suboxone, as some folks do not. I Am sure you can make the best decision for yourself.
Take BPC-157 it has done wonders for Opiate addicts , IBS symptoms, and all types of other issues. Now that you’ve heard of it, go check it out.
I was told by several folks they used BPC to detox and it took away majority of their symptoms and made detox bearable (suboxone and heroin). I haven’t taken their word and tried it, but i did speak at length with them. One had been on heroin and suboxone for over 20 years and literally just weaned down and quit while taking high amounts of BPC. He said he didn’t have the full blown detox from it. If true thats a Fkimng miracle peptide.
The BPC is also used post drug abuse and heals the brain, gut and more. I have read how it somehow repairs the gaba system of the brain.
Just food for thought. I take BPC and it has helped me a ton with injuries . My wife is taking it for her Horrid IBS and its helping her .It actually healed my tennis elbow in less than a month.
You got my attention. I’m on suboxone, and have taken BPC for 3 injuries. Never noticed any relief from the opiates tho. Maybe if you take it orally it’s different?
Tell hi to google it and he won’t find one bad review. So many stories on this. My wife is better, but not fixed yet. I think it’ll just take her longer.
Your pops needs to understand what this is. Show him the articles that show bpc is found in the body and gut. Amino acids is all it is.
I know a doc who will prescribe it if you think that’ll help pops trust you.
My doc rx’d it for me, and it fixed 3 injuries that had been nagging me for years.
I’ve tried explaining it, even showed him a study where they used BPC to fix his exact issue (on rats), told him how they make it, but he’s not convinced. Old school I guess, doesn’t need his son giving him medical advice lol.
My brother messed his leg up at work, and he said coworkers talk about BPC all the time, so he’s going to try it. Maybe then the two of us can persuade dad to try it
