Top 3 T-Nation Memebers You'd Pick to Lift with

Ha I like this one. Imagine training with your evil twin, and he outlifts you. You have no excuses, because genetically that is you lifting those weights, he just outlifts you because he is smarter/more intense/works harder/etc. Would be motivating to get your shit together after that.

^Saw Waylander’s recent pics and they were just unreal. I always thought he gave quality advice and had a good handle on real information when he was posting on here. Seeing him step it up and dominate the contest stage is just a final validation IMO. Too many experts telling other people how it’s supposed to be done. I miss the guy on here.

I certainly wouldn’t expect to match the behemoth strength wise in the gym, but it’d be a great time training with the man no doubt.

I agree. I remember him from my lurking days. Thinking about all the good people that left this forum while the most obnoxious poster I have ever witnessed on any forum still pollutes this place pisses me off a bit.

I am really bummed that this guy took his leave. He seemed so cool/humble and really knew what he was talking about. Had the physique to prove it.

X2 you cant just leave those out of the loop hanging!

Was going to mention waylander, I was disappointed (and confused) when his contest prep ended the way it did. And then even more disappointed (and even more confused) when he disappeared.

This is exactly how I feel. I admit that sometimes I can’t control my disdain for the situation.

I really like how this thread is turning out… Everyone raising their glasses to whom they respect. Good stuff.

I always wanted to train with Meat. He seemed to do some brutal workouts.

Aw shucks. Someday, when I go over seas, we shall lift to some super badass metal.

Honky Kong, Heavy Thrower, and Bulldog.

Coach Thibs, John Meadows, Ben Bruno

Obviously the genetics probably arent there to be a huge force in the world of pro Bodybuilding (he’s 6’2"), but i think there is a pro card in his future for sure. He’s one of those rare guys who can pack a ton of muscle on, still look very aesthetically pleasing, and fill out a long/tall frame without looking lanky. And i believe hes still only 23… really wish he had a log here still.

Man I wouldn’t go that far, but thanks for the shout out homey!

I still lurk and read, just not as much as I used to, been busy with pharmacy school and I had an extended layoff before that, but about back to where I was now.

That is badass you remember me sir, you and I had a lot of good convos and I’m glad you’re still around contributing - one of the few people I consider “in the know” and your progress is amazing.

You ever find yourself in Bama, it would be righteous to throw down.
Sheeeit thanks - and if I ever make my way down there I’ll no doubt get at you man, haha. I have a few buddies down there that all also lift. And Aragorn was right - the forums would be better off if you were active again!

I’ve gotten to train/meet with a couple guys from here, and it’s always been a fun experience. Definitely nice when you meet people as dedicated as you, or ideally MORE dedicated and advanced than you. Lights a fire under my ass every time. Sadly, haven’t been able to make any meet-ups happen lately.
Wow hungry, thanks for the compliment man! If I make your three then I’m feeling pretty good. It’s definitely mutual, those damn deadlift videos you put out are kick ass!

I’m disappointed about Marauder, I always hoped he’d come back after a while off, but I guess not.

To those who don’t know, Marauder lost a bet here where tempers flared a bit and the stake was “I’ll never post here again if I lose”. Major loss over a little thing. Small comfort knowing he’s a man of his word, but he kept it.

It happens and I’m with Stu and others… But the take home from this thread should be that we’re not all gone like we seemed to think before starting this thread!

Let’s keep this ONE thread positive yeah? It’s a great one.

Holy shit! Look who showed up!! Hey brother pharmacy school is a bitch and half, good luck with that. I’d be interested to hear what texts you use, I’m actually prepping for an interview to run an analytical pharmacology research lab & always down to get into good books

I’m glad you’re still on this site, part time lurker or not. You know too much and you walk the walk.
What up Aragorn! Man I appreciate that. Its been good to see you and guys like Stu and X and H4M and the others are still around. I may get into posting again, I actually have more time in school, with a specific goal studying is a breeze. Making the highest grades in my life.

And that job sounds amazing. Keep a brother in mind if you need a PharmD…haha!

As far as texts go, for Pharm Sci we pull a lot from Goodman and Gilman’s Pharmalogical Basis of Therapeutics and Basic and Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (Katzung BG), Lemke Principles of Medicinal Chemistry, Shargel L Applied Pharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetcs.

Patho is various Physiology stuff

Biochem so far has been Mark’s Basic Medicinal Biochem

Still early into it though, I’ll keep you posted when I come across the ones that are indispensible.
Hey brother, I’m glad you’re still around posting or not! And good luck with the grades as well, it’s good to know you’re kicking ass in school…I was always the same way as you: much easier time focusing if I had a specific goal in mind, even if the goal was broad.

And hey IF I get the job, absolutely! We’ll turn it into the meathead researchers sanctuary…put up posters of Haney and Mariusz besides the cell signalling pathway and DNA map posters and Bruker instrument ads lol.

Heard about Gilman but not read it yet. I’m currently digging into Shargel now, what do you think about it?

Def. keep me updated on your favorite texts!

Sorry for the nerd hijack guys…

He left because he wanted to. Then was given and excuse. He still posts other places.
